Mum and Dad both voted with their mobiles multiple times as they don't have a landline. I bet it's cost them almost as much as me to vote, but I hadn't asked them to, they just felt Darius deserved to win :)

 

So. so happy now. OMG, just realised we've an album and a tour coming too! :yahoo: OMG, just realised I won't have any money to attend the tour once I've paid the phone bill :unsure: Thank goodness for credit cards eh! :D

Looks like D will be this side of the pond for a good long while.

It was all so moving, that duet with Rolando was breathtaking. I feel D certainly came off best singing with him. Did you notice Darius face was wet with tears at the end of it, and when he ran to hug his Dad, it was so emotional. We all knew he was a winner, but he's waited so long for this , for someone to actually say 'you're a winner'. I'm so very, very proud of our man. Going to watch it again now and this time, relax and enjoy every minute. Sue

Just watched it again. He was the winner by a mile. He did so well. Great - I'd happily buy a dvd of this, although I'd like mostly Darius on it.

Yaaaaayyy..... :cheer: He was absolutely wonderful tonight, wasn't he!!!! The duet with Rolando was breathtaking :heart: The best 'man' certainly won on the night - I am so happy for him!! It was lovely to see all his family there to support him, especially his Dad, and did you all see Jacqui sitting behind Avril!!?? :D Nigel Lythgoe was right, tonight he has gone from 'celebrity' status to 'star' status and I can't wait for everything that is now to come.... :dance: As Darius would say 'onwards and upwards'!! :D
