He's 29 and should enjoy the moment and go where his dreams take him. I don't want him grounded but I would love to see and hear what he does.

I'm glad I stayed at home and voted.

So a Bernie/Darius final was always on the cards apart from Marcella's Queen Of the Night week and Kym's vote spiking when she got the sympathy vote (for her genuine distress singing that song from the Mission so close to the first anniversary of the death of her baby son.)

And the votes went up and down by how the contestant did. Very unusual.

It did seem as if that's what was happening. It's been so long since we expected that to happen in a reality show. It's very refreshing, isn't it?

mm, Dannys votes stayed consistent, even a little push on his worst week! i think also the judges may have swayed it on occasion, i cant say bernie was that much better than marcella but in the semifinal, bernis votes sky rocketed, along with judjges makng it clear she should be in fnal-but it does correspond fairly evenly with performance over all..good tbh,

 

thought bernis exit interview was mealymouthed, lol liked kyms comment though, they must have been sure she would win.

The final of PSTOS was mentioned this morning on Lorraine by Richard Arnold the entertainments correspondent. He said it was the final o n Friday between Darius ande Bernie and Lorraine then said Bernie was brilliant. Richard said it was a very emotional evening for Darius because he had appeared in that studio before for popstars and pop idol.Lorraine then said it was good that Darius had won he is such a lovely guy.

thats nice to read - think on a certain fansite they are putting the result down to us voting LOL, comments about our phone bills and about there only being five of us - I would like to take credit for the win LOL but unless Bernie only had a few voters too - that was never gonna sway it.

I dont EVER recall Darius saying he didnt want to do anything else, and wanted an opera career...it is quite amazing how people can hear what they want to hear.

 

oh well, its over, and I want to see Darius do well now, he has shown he has talent, I for one woudnt have voted if I didnt think he deserved it, can you imagine if Darius had been as hopeless as the others, now that would have been embarrassing in the final!!! I dont think any one would have wanted that, not even Darius.

Onwards and upwards!! I think Dairus is born to do MT though

Thanks PIP I also saw that on a certain site, it never changes does it. I hope he will get invited to do various things, b ut he must strike now not disappear again. hopefully his management wont let him.I see Rolando is singing at the albert hall in may.
