He's answered some one's question on facebook saying he does read the posts on there.

he is sweet, just read his comment

he seems very chirpy

oh, he wants ot know if we can guess what colour suit he is wearing tomorrow night..and why.

any ideas? coz I havent

I guessed a red influence for Valentine's Day, but it would help if we knew definately which song it was, and you're right, he does sound chirpy. It's us lot that are worrying ourselves daft! Wouldn't it be great though, that after everything that he and his family have been through and everything they've had to put up with from the press and media, that just for once, something went right and he got what he derserved, and that's to win. Could you imagine how he'd feel, and how we would all feel as well? Sue

Champagne may be a good one but I went for blue and hoping that he doesn't end up blue as well.
Definitely the Champagne Aria from Don Giovanni, although Darius called it The Champagne Toast
darn, although it is growing on me, I can see Darius as Don Giovanni, he seems chipper enough, so perhaps he isnt having problems with it....tries to be optimistic.

The Champagne Aria with dancers?

Just tell me the producers are not expecting Darius to dance and sing the Champagne Aria!

D is quite a fit guy, but not even he will be able to spin around and perform this at the speed that's required without becoming breathless. If he does, they better bloomin' well say so!

I am presuming the dancers will be just on the stage..this soge cannot be performed while dancing..no one else ever has have they, I have been youtubing it and they all more or less stand still

not quite sure what dance will keep up with the music tbh

fingers twitching here, getting nervous for tonight,

They wont have the dancers too close to him - they'd look like midgets. I wish he'd had a nice piece to sing.
Im not worried about his performance just that the public wont connect because its not a great melody.
I think we already knew that though. He's the only one with a voice that could be trained operatically. Two of the girls are as well but they are too old to start the training now. Really, they are shooting themselves in the foot by putting the only possible one at a disadvantage all the time

I'm just trying to be positive

I think we've spent most of the last 10 years doing that, Caroline. It'll be nice when we don't have to try.

In the aria's lyrics the carousing is supposed to be in the square but I haven't found it featured in any of the youtubed clips, even those taken from actual performances of the opera.

Darius may be either in the "mirror "spot where he started Non Piu Andrai or the "chair" spot next to the orchestra, with the dancers on the lower level where the judges are.

I think with a programme like that its always a case of trying to stay positive - its not like its a foregone conclusion as he is competing against three others now

Nothing is ever a forgone conclusion with Darius. I think we all know that now.

I had a horrible thought about this weeks eliminations. What if the person with the lowest votes gets automatically eliminated and then the judges decide who to save from the next two lowest, with the person with the most votes going through automatically :o

Fortunately this on the tv guide eased my nerves a little.

Popstar to Operastar

Following Danny's departure, the competition reaches the semi-final stage, with Darius the only male left. The singers bidding for opera glory tackle new arias under the guidance of Katherine Jenkins and Rolando Villazon. They take the stage knowing that the viewers' vote will decide which two will be eliminated, leaving just two to go head to head in next week's final. Presented by Alan Titchmarsh and Myleene Klass

Category Pop

Director Simon Staffurth

Executive Producer Katie Rawcliffe, Lee Connolly

Series Editor Maria Knibbs

ITV1 London 9:00pm-10:00pm (1 hour ) Fri 12 Feb

(Subtitles) (Interactive) Starts in 8 hour(s) 45 minutes

Hope it is just the public vote, then at least he wouldn't get robbed :o

I would just love him to get through. I should be enjoying my Fridays - and in a way I am, just a bag of nerves as well.
