It was a great show last night, so pleased Darius got through. Avril wasn't there but Cyrus and a couple of cousins and some friends were. I saw Darius after the show and he was so happy to have made it to the final. I know you all wanted photos so here you are :) -

Thanks Meg and Rachel. I noticed Darius was holding his rosary beads during the vote off last night. He had them wrapped around his hand. I think you're right BT when you say Darius knew what the judges were trying to do with the choice of song and had to let them know for his sanity. Also I hadn't thought about seeing him breath, until you mentioned it, and it's true, you don't notice it because you're so involved with his performance. Even last night it wasn't until he'd stopped singing that I thought -he's not even out of breath! (But then I forgot he mimed didn't he? :angry: )

It's great having the opera people supporting Darius but I wish they would vote as well. Goodness knows what they will do next week to ensure their favourite wins? Sue

More about last night - I was sat in the second row downstairs. Out of the other three contestants Kym sounded ok, Marcella was best of the ladies for me but Bernie sounded slightly off key and breathless although I've liked her other performances. Darius was great, the aria was difficult but he made it look effortless with acting out a scene as well as singing. I think there was just the one line he got wrong at the end so Rolando gave a fair comment but LLB doesn't know what he's talking about.

Mum was watching Harry Hill(?)'s burp and they had clips of Bernie and Darius on it. It was so funny. They showed Bernie singing the 'Fuzzy Ball' song - and that is how it sounds and Darius falling in love with his right hand, which was hilarious.

I havent seen this yet, have it on record though!

Good. I have never liked Harry but I've seen a little of the programme a couple of times going in and out to Mum and they have been funny - just on at the wrong time.

I saw Harry tonite. I thought it was a good plug for Darius- showed him singing t9o his hand and made it funny.

It was good. It was making fun of him but in a really fun way. Nothing negative about it though.

Two showings on Harry Hill? Darius will need his own knitted character soon!

 

I'll try to catch the repeat tomorrow at tea-time.
