He's on medication so its cured. Sure - it was pretty loosely covered - but just as equally shabby as some of Eastenders' 'loose-ends'.

You know which soap I watched yesterday - and was very quickly drawn back into? Home and Away. Every bit as good as both EE or Corrie.

Back to Corrie though - for god's sake - when the hell are they going to get shut of Becky? A character so totally aimless in life and should be disposed of as quickly and humanely as possible.

You do not cure epilepsy just by taking tablets, i cant belive how lossly they have covered it as usually medical conditions are treated seriously, david has resumed a completly normal life, no side affects, no change in life style or nothing, very bad attention to detail.

I like becky for some reason i can just understand her and i would class her as one of the best characators in the show.

I havnt watched home and away for at least 15 years if not longer, i was always a neighbours fan although i dont watch anymore or havnt done so for many a year now.

I know my remark on that was flippant - but as far as soap goes - its been dealt with adequately and they've moved on. I'd rather that than them dwell on it. Besides if we're talking about lack of attention to detail - I think both Eastenders and Corrie could well match each other scene for scene and are perhaps both soaps are the WORST offenders.

I used to love Becky - but the biggest mistake they made was getting her married - especially to Steve. I loved her relationship with the Croppers. Seriously though - after that incident of stealing the money from the shop - for me - there is no way for her to go but out of the show. I'd personally shun anyone anyone who did that - no matter what their reasons - in fact - especially for the reason she did it.

She doesn't even realise how her own actions (in some cases lack of them) could draw further attention to her. For instance - when Kylie asked her to be at her wedding - she should have said YES. Instead she said something like 'we may not be around' - if that comes up in court later - she's definitely in for a long stretch as they'll know the whole thing was pre-meditated when it could have been disguised as a 'panic stricken, last minute, impulsive action'.

Neighbours :puke2: Always has done - always will.

Edit : back to the 'suspension of reality' my husband came up with the best. Upon Kevin's gift to Sally of a car! He said - 'totally unbelievable. No self-respecting mechanic would buy a Fiat!'

How daft was the robbery

It was a bit silly! I'm glad Jim didn't kill himself though (not that I want him to come back) but I really didn't want another death so soon.

I loved Roy's mum but I'm hating that Faye kid. No wonder Social Services had such a hard job placing her all these years - what a little bint!

I love Kylie and can't wait until her and David get back from honeymoon.

I'm hoping they write Craig Gazey out by having him actually fall for Shen(?) the girl he's married and have them both run off to France and stay with Claire and the boys.

Yeah couldn't believe Faye making that up about Eddie hitting Anna (it'd more likely be the other way round)

And yeah I was thinking that about Graham and Sheen, I really think that's what'll end up happening.

And then she said to them that it was Gary who was lying. I mean - Anna may feel a duty to Faye and want her to stay - but no way on this earth would she believe anything she said over Gary.

I do - I hope they don't send Graham to prison - I want him to have a happy exit. I'm not really bothered about Tina - she's boring anyway and I'm sure Tommy Duckworth will help her get over Graham.

Kath

She's called Xin LOL.

I think I read that

Graeme leaves after splitting up with Tina because the pressure on their relationship is too much what with the fake marriage. I don't think he feels anything for Xin.

lol oh, Xin :heehee: So is she sticking around then? I hope not, can't say i'm keen..

Well that's a bloody shame. So Graeme's

going to have one of those non-event departures then

!

Mind you - I preferred Graeme's relationship and scenes with David far more than the ones with Tina. The minute they made him have a love interest - they ruined a potentially good character. A year or so ago I'd have said that I'd be bothered about him leaving but he really isn't much of an asset to the show at the moment. I don't think he'll be missed.

Finally caught up ^_^

Really looking forward to more of the Roy/Hayley & Roy's Mum storyline

I imagine Anne will end up with Faye once Eddie leaves?

The robbery had me in stitches

I can't stand that kid Faye! She's the first young person in Corrie that I've found totally unlikeable and unentertaining.

Felt sorry for Liz tonight - really didn't want her to leave.

What was Maria doing late in the factory? Was she playing 'hearts' on the computer? She surely couldn't have been doing actual work ... the dizzy bint!

Rather large spoiler about a new character on the way in:

Michelle Collins (ie. Cindy Beale from EastEnders) will play the new landlady of the Rovers, Stella. She and her husband Carl have 'a dark secret that will have shocking consequences for some of the street's most-loved residents' apparently. Hmm.

I read this rumour about her joining but thought it was just made up. Brilliant addition if its true!

Becky to leave

Good. She's become a pain in the arse over the last few months.

That's only because the writers can't write strong female characters at the minute without making them massively unlikeable or heartless bitches (the worst affected being Carla). Kat Kelly is by far the best actress they have aside from Alison King, they should be gutted to lose her.
