Claire got a good exit storyline but her exit storyline just made me think they should have kept her as their was potential to develop her charactor more and take her in a new direction, she has also acted all her most recent scenes very strongly.

I sort of see why they let her go (she'd have struggled for storylines until she found a new bloke and moving on so fast clearly isn't a priority for her) but it's a real shame. I think she was one of the best actors in the show by quite some distance and put the likes of Sally Dynevor almost to shame. She was incredibly likeable too - anybody else consistently talking about their dead husband might've been boring but it never was with Claire. It was a very strong portrayal of mourning I thought which went easy on the misery.

In other news Nick is just AWFUL as a villain (he has no merits whatsoever - GET RID!), those two police detectives are both AWFUL, and Tracy Barlow is obviously still terrible (her 'waking up out of a coma' acting was THE worst I've EVER seen - *eyes open, pop head up, instantly converse as if entire coma never happened*).

I'd like to see more Gary Windass (and Izzy Armstrong), more Carla if they must insist on dragging this love triangle/square story out, and more Claudia/Audrey banter.

Same here Claire was a great character imo  I loved her but I don't see a future for her on the Street anymore :( Although it was a great way for her to leave, I was on edge throughout the episode, although it was getting on my nerves how everyone was acting around the police

Nick is terrible, worst re-cast ever, I don't care for his character one bit hes just really dis likable. Tracey's return has been really bad hasn't it? I can't remember her being this terrible during her last stint.

I agree about what to see more of, Claudia and Audrey is amazing  I really hope it's true about Claudia running the rovers when Liz goes that would be great. Where the hell have Dev & Sunita disappeared to anyway, it's been ages now, they need to be sent more to the front I think, I think Sunita could make a great glamorous landlady if Claudia isn't

Does anyone remember the detective woman in EE?
Who could forget KAREENA FERREIRA? She was so interesting! I particularly liked her involvement in the legendary kidney donation storyline.

 Classic stuff B)

Oh god I'm OBSESSED with Corrie atm, the whole John Stape storyline has had me in stitches for weeks
Probabaly one of the worst if not the worst eastenders storyline ever in its 25 year history.

Up there with the likes of the cardboard funfair

I'm finding Owen really disturbing at the moment. He is so threatening in an ordinary / realistic everyday situation kind of way. The way Trevor was in Eastenders. Let's face it - any man who can make Eileen cry has GOT to be frightening.

Owen is probably my favourite character at the minute. Utterly unpredictable!

Owen is a new baddie, love it.

I remember the executive producer telling us another Richard Hillman was coming. At first I thought it was going to be Stape, but could it be Owen?

No - to neither of them. Owen is threatening in a very realisting way. I can't see him driving a car into the canal or any such escapade.

I think the 'baddie' being referred to is a character we've either just seen a snippet of or we haven't even seen yet.

Its going to be one of Carla's contacts in the rag-trade. Maria starts working for Carla as her PA and is asked to meet a client/buyer ... and she either gets either raped or an attempt at rape is made on her.

So I'm assuming this is the baddie that has been spoken of.

Kath

Anyway - away from all the silly unrealistic bad guy stories. I'm more interested in the real stuff.

Has Gary ruined his parents chances of adopting that young girl?

Since when did Nick and Fizz become bezzies?

Also, when did Lloyd and Cheryl actually get together... ?

Not sure when Lloyd and Cheryl got together - I'd have thought it was about 9 months to a year (yes - you think she'd know him better by now.)

Nick is just trying to be the 'saint' at the moment. He and Fizz aren't best buddies - he's just trying to look like Everyman.

Speaking of Fizz

she's going to be tempted into going into a bit of fraud herself next week

.

I'm sure there hasn't been a scene where Cheryl & Lloyd have got together :o I thought she was all "me and Lloyd are just friends"

I'm just friends with my milkman - but I don't share a flat with him! Don't Cheryl and Lloyd share?
