Here is a quote from someone on DS, talking about the Dutch national final audience:

"Iceland could do with shipping some of this audience in for their national final next year. If they get this excited at hearing the same crap song 6 times, they'd wet themselves in Reykjavik."

I watched the Dutch stream for about a minute, and saw the audience with flags, which reminded me.....why was someone in the audience of MGP last night waving a Swedish flag?

lol @ the song and @ Jarick chatting with himself for most of this thread  :kink:

oh sorry about that

I hoped someone else would watch it too, it was entertaing as hell

This at least is better than the demo version
OMG LOL I'm liking it now.

Hopefully, most of the Eurovision voters won't have heard the song before the live show, and so it won't have grown on them. Worst thing that could happen is if 95% of voters are big Eurovision fans, who've been listening to the song for 3 months, and so it has grown on them a lot :P

if all modern Eurovision songs were still like this, I definitely wouldn't be a fan of the contest  it's so stereotypical old-skool Eurovision, and definitely not in a good way :(

Imagine if it had been sent in 2009 and had been part of that amazing final - it would have been by far the worst song in it. I know standards have dropped this year (so far) but I didn't think to a level like this  the sad thing is, songs like Scooch, Dustin and LT United knew that they were novelty trash - I have a feeling The Netherlands take this song to be a serious entry :heehee:

It's I See A Star vs Lazy Bums really innit?

Why have Norway more last places and 0 pointers then.. THIS?

Edsilia Rombley (1998 & 2007) is pregnant. The baby is due in August.

"On Top Of The World" was one of my 2007 favourites

Hemel En Aarde

oh dear, what a mess  worse than the judges deliberating who to send home on X Factor!

I like the presenter though

Is it wrong that I actually like this? :( I mean, it's obviously not going to do anything (bottom five in the final at best), but it's actually quite charming!
Sieneke's song has gone to #1 in The Netherlands, so they're clearly getting behind it! apparently she's 17  she looks like Jane McDonald, I thought she was in her early 40's

I didn't exactly think Jane McDonald, but I was surprised when I learnt her age. I thought she was AT LEAST in her 30s

she needs to modernise her hairstyle and dress sense urgently  I honestly had no idea that she wasn't a woman approaching middle age :o

she looks younger here with lighter hair and more 'contemporary' clothing shall we say :heehee:

There's been tons of cover versions in the Netherlands already, here's my favourite:
