A lot of the terrible/average entries were selected at the start hence it seeming like it would be a bad year - luckily, nearly all of the last 25 or so songs selected have been somewhere between above average and excellent. Like I said, the only thing that's missing is a Fairytale, but how can you bottle lightning? We have a song like that once every 5-10 years if we're lucky. I'm quite satisfied with the entries overall now, and maybe it's more interesting that there is no obvious runaway winner. The only thing that could have possibly been better for me is if Sweden had gone for Salem or Timoteij and Norway had gone for A1. Then I would have absolutely loved this year. However, Anna and Didrik are still pretty much two of the best songs here for me, so it's not like I'm overly devesated, they'll just be more cases of 'the ones that got away'. Stay The Night trounced all over every other NF song and ESC song last year for me but I still regard 2009 as one of the best contests ever, despite that song not reaching Eurovision. I also remain confident that Norway will put on an excellent show, which should make the songs seem even better still. So with all but one entry chosen, I'm pleased.

My RANK:

01 Belgium: Tom Dice - Me and my Guitar

02 Croatia: Feminnem - Lako Je Sve

03 Moldova: Sunstroke Project & Olia Tira - Run Away

Not that amazing songs imo, top 5 is perfect to me. :D

Now all the 39 entries are known here are my revised rankings with predited finish positions in contest after country name

1 Israel - 5th or lower due to lack of friends and relatively small Jewish population outside Israel who are not neccessarily pro Israeli anyway. If it does win or comes near what will that say about political voting ...

2 Armenia - top 2..lots of votes from other East Europeans

3. Serbia - doesnt seem popular generally but would still say top 10

4. Holland - Catchy Dutch Schlager... but wont appeal to most countries I think...non qualifyer

5. Azerbaijan - top 2.. should have broad support

6. Romania - 3rd/4th

7. Turkey - around 10th

8. Slovakia - top 10 at least

9. Denmark - top 10

10. Germany - around 15th

11. Russia - about halfway in final

12. Norway - 4th/5th

13. Sweden - about 10th

14. Spain - about halfway

15. Cyprus - about halfway in final

16. Croatia - top 10

17. Estonia - about 15th

18. Ireland - about 10th

19. Bulgaria - about 15th

20. Greece - about 15th

21. Belgium - probable qualifyer but low finish

22. France - about 15th

23. Albania - may qualify

24. Moldova - may qualify

25. Finland - may qualify

26. Ukraine - non qualifyer

27. UK - near last

Lilkely non qualifyers

28. Macedonia

29. Latvia

30. Iceland

31. Portugal

32. Malta

Why everyone is saying Vukašin Brajić - Munja I Grom, when he's going to sing it on English, and name of the song is Thunder and Lightening. And on Serbian or Croatian it really looks weird to read Munja I Grom, because we'd wrote it as Munja i grom.
I'd probably be just as in love if Sweden had chosen Kom or Keep On Walking, in all fairness...

Lol this is like the 2nd time you say that today

Yeah, like, get over it

I've noticed that most of the listenable entries deserving to get into the final are in the second semi. There is a considerable difference in quality between the two semis this year me thinks...

I'd bet Spain to get to the Good category at least for you in the end :kink:

Seeing as I absolutely can't stand his voice, it's doubtful. As a song, I have no problem with it, but I find it unbearable to listen to. Can I have an instrumental please :P

Oh JESUS. I'm starting to like our entry.
There are still claims of political voting even after last year? :/

Unfortunately, people seem to have conveniently forgotten how well we did last year. I was watching a debate about it on the Alan Titchmarsh Show last week, and everyone was banging on about how we're always going to do $h!t, and no one votes for us because they don't like us and all that $h!t. After about five minutes of that dross Alan finally piped up, "although we did come fifth last year." EUGH. Aside from 2009, we wouldn't have made the final at all from 2003-10 if we were, Ireland, for example. -_-

Oh, and another thing that pisses me off rather... When you point out that we came fifth last year, people's reply is usually something along the lines of, "but we didn't win though." :manson: Perhaps because there were four songs that were better than ours? Tssssk.

This is my rank and classifications
