May 12, 201015 yr I do think that Satellite is very open to Lib Demming it come May 29th. I'm certain the odds are just because of it smashing records in Germany! For the record, I do love Satellite, but I don't see it doing well in the four-way race between Denmark, Azerbaijan and Croatia... You think Denmark and Azerbaijan will come joint 1st, and Svante decides that Lena, just behind these two in the results, becomes the 'kingmaker' and gets to decide the winner? :kink:

In a coalition winning agreement with Azerbaijan hosting the final and Germany the semis next year? :o :kink:
May 12, 201015 yr It would never work, they'd need to hold the Eurovision again in October to ensure a majority winner -_-
May 12, 201015 yr It would never work, they'd need to hold the Eurovision again in October to ensure a majority winner -_- I have to say, I never thought it would work that well to begin with. The love-in between Azerbaijan and Germany at the moment is on Greece-Cyprus levels :o
May 12, 201015 yr I have to say, I never thought it would work that well to begin with. The love-in between Azerbaijan and Germany at the moment is on Greece-Cyprus levels :o Turkey will be most displeased that Germany's affections have moved elsewhere :o

I'm certain the odds are just because of it smashing records in Germany! For the record, I do love Satellite, but I don't see it doing well in the four-way race between Denmark, Azerbaijan and Croatia... yeah...Germany will finish #4 behind #3 Croatia, #2 Denmark and #1 Azerbaijan. Cut my head with a knife if we don't get that top 4. I would be willing to bet my life that Germany will come higher than Denmark. I do really like the Danish entry, but I can't see it bothering the top 5
May 12, 201015 yr I would be willing to bet my life that Germany will come higher than Denmark. I do really like the Danish entry, but I can't see it bothering the top 5 Many are seeing it as the front runner this year, I'm thinking 4th place but we'll see...I don't see how we can have a giant schlager turnaround all of a sudden when the songs doing well in the last 6 or 7 years, Carola aside, have been anything but successful. If Germany is the bookies favourite that doesn't do as well as expected, then Denmark could well be the fan favourite that fails to deliver.
May 12, 201015 yr Author Are Azerbaijan and Germany really on the Greece-Cyprus level atm??! :o :o It is quite bizarre! I'd absolutely LOVE Denmark to win. Not because i like the song (it's one of the dullest songs this year) but because i'm in love with a fairytale Denmark! I would even engage myself with temporary slavery just to get to Eurovision if it goes to København in 2011. <333333333 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH.
May 12, 201015 yr Denmark has the curse of leading the OGAE voting - remember, Sweden won the OGAE in 2008 Of course, Norway won OGAE 2009, but "Fairytale" is an exception to ever Eurovision failure rule :kink:
May 12, 201015 yr Denmark isn't HUGELY schlager-y though. It's a pretty universal pop song... It's so old skool ESC formula though what with the big chorus, over singing, wind machines, huge key change, love lyrics, male/female singing to each other duet - as far as I know, these are all schlager conventions. It's Sweden 2003 2.0. I do love it naturally, but I can't ignore the fact that nothing like this has done even remotely well in years, so how come it's suddenly the favourite to win (with fans at least, and 4th favourite with bookies) :o I'm not wishing it to fail, just wondering how everyone has come to the conclusion that this is the song to reverse the decline in fortunes in this genre in the contest. God, Snalla Snalla featured on the 'Absolute Schlager' compilation in Sweden so I'm sure this would qualify for the genre :heehee:
May 12, 201015 yr lol since when Alexander became future teller? okay I love Lena to death and it's second best this year...it's behind Safura just by 2 iTunes bars. Edited May 12, 201015 yr by Addy!

May 12, 201015 yr No, I think that Lena will steal votes from Denmark allowing Azerbaijan to triumph :kink: I'm thinking it's more likely Croatia and Azerbaijan will cancel each other out leading to a German victory.
