Posted February 8, 201015 yr Here we have a thread where we can post any ratings we find for national finals, and also the ratings in different countries for Eurovision in May. 6th Feb MF - Heat 1 (Sweden) - 2,976,000 (The lowest MF ratings for the 1st Heat since 2002 - but still the biggest show of the week) DMGP - Final (Denmark) - 1,864,000 (Same as 2005 & 2006, higher than 2007, 2008 & 2009) MGP - Final (Norway) - 1,369,000 (A bit down on last year) 7th Feb Netherlands - 2,100,000 Edited March 13, 201015 yr by bigzarafan
February 8, 201015 yr down in Sweden :( I guess they're a bit annoyed with failing to come top ten three years in a row (for the first time ever?) they NEED to return to the top ten this year, and to do this they need to move forward with the times! and seeing as every other country seems to be going back in time for 2010, it's Sweden's perfect opportunity to send something contemporary
March 1, 201015 yr Author 27th February MF - Heat 4 (Sweden): 2,363,000 A series low, and in 2009 it got 3,188,000. Since 2004, ratings for heat 4 have always been above 3,000,000. But still the most watched program on Saturday night NOTE: I have contacted the person I got these from, to see if he could give me all the ratings he has for the national finals of 2010. If I get them, I shall post them all here :) Edited March 1, 201015 yr by bigzarafan
March 1, 201015 yr Ooh very much down in Sweden then...for the UK I expect somewhere around 4-5m for the 90 minutes on average. The first 30 minutes will be up against Corrie, which will drag the average down quite a bit.
March 1, 201015 yr It's kinda funny that 2,5 million Norwegians were watching the ESC final last year, thats more then 50% of the Norwegian population
March 1, 201015 yr It's kinda funny that 2,5 million Norwegians were watching the ESC final last year, thats more then 50% of the Norwegian population  That's absolutely loads. :o I know Greece record similar figures too... that 2.5m must have been a good 90% of the viewing population too? At least! :o In the UK it got 7.91m last year, which would've equated to about 30-35% of viewing public, and about 13% of the British population.
March 2, 201015 yr Author Here are more ratings I have been given: Finland: Heat 1: 713,000 Finland: Heat 2: 570,000 Finland: Heat 3: 779,000 Finland: Final: 1,004,000 (25% of Finnish population) Spain: 2,630,000 Sweden: MF Heat 2: 2,823,000 Sweden: MF Heat 3: 2,876,000 So with the Swedish heats, the highest was in the first, then a drop to heat 2, a rise to heat 3, and a major drop to heat 4
March 8, 201015 yr Author 6th Mar Sweden: Second Chance: 2,894,000. Up on 2009 [2,886,000] but down on 2008 [3,090,000] & 2007 [3,040,000]. Overall, this year's ratings have been lower than normal Portugal: National final: 880,000. 6th most popular show of the day in Portugal. To compare, the most popular was a soap which got 1,363,000
March 8, 201015 yr Author 7th Mar Belgium: Song Presentation: 885,000. The old Eurosong format used to pull in over 1,000,000 viewers As my source said, well done VRT
March 13, 201015 yr Author 12th March UK: YCNY: 2.9 million Well done BBC, when YCNY was on a Saturday night last year, I'm sure it got quite a lot more than that  It didn't have much competition on other channels, yet on Saturday's, when it did have competition, it got: 2009 - 5.61 2008 - 5.02 2007 - 5.75 2006 - 6.75 2005 - 7.22 2004 - 6.86 Edited March 13, 201015 yr by bigzarafan
March 13, 201015 yr Author MF gets more than that mostly, and the UK must have far more residents than Sweden. But after a bad result this year, hopefully the BBC will see the selection format needs changing again - to EXACTLY the same as MF!
March 13, 201015 yr That's bloody terrible, I'm not sure how many were watching MF today, but there were 1.43 millon votes :o
March 13, 201015 yr Author That's bloody terrible, I'm not sure how many were watching MF today, but there were 1.43 millon votes :o That's another thing about YCNY. I tried three times to vote for Josh, but I think the BT landline was busy so I couldn't get through. I know someone else was the same, apart from the tried to vote for Alexis. Managed to get through on my mobile, though
March 13, 201015 yr I didn't either bother voting in it. I couldn't care less who sings it, it's a bottom five whatever happened :drama:
March 13, 201015 yr Odd. Esma would have been superb if she hadn't f***ed up :snif: Josh is OK though, and if the song gets enough of a makeover I reckon we can do back to 11-16 :)
March 14, 201015 yr Author 12th March Greece: A high of 39.1% of the viewing audience. 2009 saw a high of 32.7%, so we have an improvement :)
