Ah thought it might have been you, heard someone ask if you were the one with the username picture of a hand and you were the only person I could think of with that picture

No I'm slightly further right on that picture, I think I was almost in line with you when you took it, I remember you taking it :D

Was a fabulous gig!

PS is Devoted down again? Getting server not found! :(

Nothing for a few of us. Tried Google and Internet Explorer and still getting the same message. Everything else is ok - just seems to be Devoted. I closed down all my tabs and re-loaded them - still the same.

Hmm, www.williamyoung.biz isn't loading right now.

The computers that run www.williamyoung.biz are having some trouble. Usually this is just a temporary problem, so you might want to try again in a few minutes.

 :yahoo: :w00t: :cheer: Best ever outdoor gig for me. Will was on fire :w00t: & really fed off the huge brilliant crowd. Take note Will & come north more often. There's a lot of love for you further up the country.

Lovely to be able to catch up with so many of my Will mates. It's been too long Bamyellowm&m's. :friends: Thanks for the crowd shot & all the videos. They'll help keep me going till the new music & hopefully another tour.

Thanks to Abbie.

From the Knutsford Guardian.

"A PICNIC with 7,000 people is not any everyday occurrence for the spectacular venue that is Tatton Park, but Pop Idol winner Will Young made it happen on the first day of August, and with good reason.

Will's feet did not keep still for an hour-and-a-half as he performed almost the entire track list from his Hits album with the occasional improvised number to demonstrate his unbelievable musicianship. The costume changes, audience involvement, dancers, casual jokes between songs, anecdotal band introductions and slightly camp dancing all added to what was a fabulous night for young and old alike.

It did not sell out to the capacity of 10,000 as it did when he appeared at Tatton five years ago, but this allowed some breathing space so it was easy to get to the front to try and touch his hand, or sit further back in a chair and enjoy a bottle of wine.

Warm up act Alan Pownall did not seem out of place, but perhaps might be more successful if he flashed the occasional smile. He could learn a thing or two from Will about that."

Thanks TT - I'm pleased they said how many he drew in - otherwise that third para would have been a bit misleading. And I agree about his feet - he never stands still - even when he is singing at the microphone stand . His whole body 'feels' the music.

Can't believe we only have two more to go. I'm going to Sandringham on Saturday and that's my lot. He's been a huge success again this summer - lots of good feedback.

I'm sure there were even more there than that. Banyellowm&m's said that was the number sold about 3 days before but I'm sure more must have been sold on the day.

Enjoy Sandringham. Wish I was joining you.

I agree, like The Hits Tour, these summer gigs demonstrate just how popular Will is. Doubt anyone will still have heard of many of Gordon Smart's favs 8 years down the line.

Ash said there was eight thousand didn't he. I'm sure Will and the band get to hear how big their audience are. :D
