It's alright. What's happened to Macedonia though? :o They haven't sent anything great since 2007, and they had quite a run (except for that dire drummer boy in 2005) from about 2002 until then of fantastic entries!

 

EDIT: Oh yes, apart from 2003 when they didn't qualify :lol: Silly me :(

well bigger names (after Katrolina in 2007) here lost the intrest in ESC... and now with the 2 semi fails in a row, this year the intrest for ESC and our NF hits record LOW! :(

Gjoko (the 2010 entrant) it's an experienced and great singer, he's been here for ages, but he never had a smash hit nor it's very famous. he plays at small clubs mostly.

so it is suprise that he actually won.

we'll see what they'll do with the song for Oslo!

 

if we fail 3rd year in a row we should definatlly change the NF system and go for internal selection (ex. choosing one great and popular singer with great writer/producer)

I just sat through a video showing all the songs that were on offer (Never again! :kink: ) and there was a really good song by Esma's Band, or something similar. Apparantly it won SF 2 by a landslide, yet came 7th in the final? Sounds a bit dodgy :lol: . Fama was OK too.

Esmas band won the televote in semi 2 but finished 2nd overall. and in the final finished 10th overall not 7th!

and that song is tooo kitschie :P

Fama by Maja is good I agree but it was too much of a GaGa rip-off :/ she ended 3rd overall in the final.

Yeah, I changed it to Macedonia. I give short shrift to the Greeks who say it should be FYROM, because in short - if you say Macedonia to someone, you're going to mean the country, not the Greek region :rolleyes:

I prefer FYROM, just because I like saying the name out loud. One of my silly things - I just say it fun to say, with it being long. I find no fun from just saying "Macedonia". But yeah, I don't care about the title change.

It sounds like that in Russian as well. I don't think "Masedonia" (first 'a' like in 'car') is even the better way to pronounce it just esthetically. haha!
