February 21, 201015 yr Author My picks of this chart: 01. Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U - Great song, even if it's a bit overplayed and not Sinead's best. 02. Beats International Featuring Lindy Layton - Dub Be Good To Me - Classic! 03. Technotronic Featuring Ya Kid K - Get Up (Before The Night Is Over) - The infamous mimer Felly and friends. Seriously, the first single would have worked with Ya Kid K. Great song  04. Black Box - I Don't Know Anybody Else 05. Michael Bolton - How Am I Supposed To Live Without You - It's cheesy, It's Bolton, but it's a great ballad. 06. Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence - Classic. 07. Lonnie Gordon - Happenin' All Over Again - Strong disco number. 08. Sybil - Walk On By - Good cover of a Dion Warwick classic. 09. Phil Collins - I Wish It Would Rain Down - Another big Phil ballad :) 10. Lisa Stansfield - Live Together - Average soul song. 11. Cher - Just Like Jesse James - Cher at her finest. 12. Mantronix Featuring Wondress - Got To Have Your Love - Great tune - still fresh twenty years on. 13. Tina Turner - Steamy Windows - Decent song 14. Yell! - Instant Replay - EWWWWW the horror of the chart :puke2: 15. Kylie Minogue - Tears On My Pillow - I don't mind this :) 16. Rod Stewart - Downtown Train - This is very good :) 21. Janet Jackson - Come Back To Me - Very nice ballad from a great album :) 23. Skid Row - 18 And Life - Great rock ballad. One of their best. 25. The Beloved - Hello - Bizzare dance tune listing the names of celebs that were famous at that point 28. Eric Clapton - Bad Love - Decent rock ballad. 38. Renegade Soundwave - Probably A Robbery - Just discovered this. It's kind of an early 90s Kaiser Chiefs but electro sounding, Hilarious lyrics. Other noticable ones: 42. David A Stewart Featuring Candy Dulfer - Lily Was Here - Classic :) 47. Belinda Carlisle - Runaway Horses - Underrated Belinda song, should have been a bigger hit. 48. Eurythmics - The King and Queen Of America - I adore this! Great video where Dave and Annie dress up as these figures of American culture. Great song as well. 69. Rob 'N' Raz Featuring Leila K - Got To Get - R and B dance tune. Apparantly, Leila K is homeless and lives on the streets of Oslo.
February 21, 201015 yr A favorite period of mine, let's see... 01. Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U Far better than Prince's version, even though he wrote it 02. Beats International Featuring Lindy Layton - Dub Be Good To Me Great track, Cook's finest hour 03. Technotronic Featuring Ya Kid K - Get Up (Before The Night Is Over) A carbon-copy of their first single 04. Black Box - I Don't Know Anybody Else As above 05. Michael Bolton - How Am I Supposed To Live Without You Schmaltz city! 06. Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence Don't really like DP, but don't mind this 07. Lonnie Gordon - Happenin' All Over Again One of SAW's final great tracks, by which point pop music was becoming a dirty word, probably due to SAWs stranglehold on pop in the previous 3 years. This was and is a top track though! 08. Sybil - Walk On By A straight-forward cover of Dion Warwick 09. Phil Collins - I Wish It Would Rain Down No thanks 10. Lisa Stansfield - Live Together Great voice, average songs Of the rest, I like 12. Mantronix Featuring Wondress - Got To Have Your Love Still sounds fab! 18. 49ers - Touch Me One from the italio-house era, this was Black Box part 2, except this sampled the hell out of Aretha Franklin 27. Guru Josh - Infinity (1990's Time For The Guru) Cheesey, but far better than that recent version 33. Electribe 101 - Talking With Myself Great balearic classic featuring Billie Ray Martin Some good tracks, but not the best of charts

February 22, 201015 yr in my recent excercise, 1990 proved to be my most disliked year for music.... im not expoecting to find much here that i like!!!! 01. Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U ..... a classic or just cheese? well i reckon cheryl cole ought to take note of this, no gimicks, dance routines, just a straight in your face emotional delivery proving that it can be done. 02. Beats International Featuring Lindy Layton - Dub Be Good To Me ... an ex grange hill actress fronting an early norman cook plaigarism/sample/cover (he built his portfolio on doing this) , effectively, i like this but prefer the original by the sos band from a few years earlier. 12. Mantronix Featuring Wondress - Got To Have Your Love ... track of the chart and the only one ive highlighted that wasnt a cover .. although liberty x did cover it effectively 12 years later. 17. The Stranglers - 96 Tears .... pinched from mike reads 60's prog on radio 1 on a monday evening, the original was a popular choice so the stranglers did this ok cover (? and the mysterions had the orig in late '66, charted low ) 27. Guru Josh - Infinity (1990's Time For The Guru) ... this was ok but the recent re-vamp has utterly ruined it. it only had a short shelf life and for me its now over
