I was so lucky enough to be at Saturday's Elvis - The Concert show at the LG Arena and it was a fantastic night. It was the third time I had seen the show and, as always, it was terrific! I am in the process of getting my photos up onto Photobucket, but I have to have a clearout first  Hope to get some of the pics up tomorrow night and a little write up, but until then, I've found some clips already up on the net :yahoo:

Saturday night at the LG Arena for Elvis The Concert

The show started, a similar way it had in Memphis in 2007, with Google Earth zeroing in on the LG, and ‘Elvis’ walking backstage and then across the stage. The opening bars of See See Rider, the curtains opened to show the band and Elvis on the big screen, flanked by 2 smaller screens.

Jerry Scheff was naturally missed but bassist Nathan East did a fantastic job of filling his shoes and of course, Ronnie Tutt, the drummer was there

Elvis introduced the Imperials singing Sweet Sweet Spirit and they did a wonderful version of How Great Thou Art. The Sweet Inspirations took centre stage as well, singing their song, Sweet Inspiration

Elvis singing In The Ghetto. The 2 side screens showed photos of Elvis with his parents and as a young man.

Saying goodbye. I loved the way the Imperials waved to Elvis

The show was, as usual, amazing. There were a few clips on the side screens from the outtakes of TTWII, (together with counters) For me, the show I saw in Memphis was the ultimate as it was separated more into eras, and of course, more of the original musicians were there as it was in Elvis’ hometown on the 30th anniversary, but the show on Saturday night was fantastic. The Arena was packed, and what I found great was the wide age range of fans, from teenagers to pensioners. Seems Elvis is still gaining new fans thirty three years after his death, and can you blame them :yahoo:

Here's another clip of the show on YouTube
