Is he definitely singing it, megham.

I'm curious to hear a solo version of TID by Darius.

Will he start it in the really low key or will he choose the key so that parts are sung in his higher range? If he's singing it as crossover, rather than opera, I'd prefer him to go for the latter - sort of Big Sing with better technique.

thats what I think the big sing style obviously utilising any new techniques he now has to hand, I read it was TID somewhere, may have been on the concertss site..but it was posted

Now here's a tricky tweet for Darius. Pretty much damned if he does, damned if he doesn't?

srichardson99: @DariusOfficial World Cup song, The Beautiful Game, to raise funds for Prince Harry's charity! http://bit.ly/a1A460

they all get loads of charity blarb on Twitter, would drive me mad! I seem to recall one football song being sung by some guy on some daytime show, chat show trying to get it aired ..it rings a bell.

I expect D will ignore it, its just some chap trying to get his song out there using charity as a bandwagon...

I know that, pip, but I've googled this guy and he's a songwriter with nearly thirty years experience. He was in the charts with the Faith Brothers when Darius was starting Primary school. he wrote pointed , passionate and compassionate songs in the Thatcher era.
I doubt it'd hurt him and would help others. We just don't know what his schedule is like or how many other requests he's had

If it's genuine and is likely to happen and Darius decided to lend his voice to it, and it was a celebration of the game of football and the international spirit of the World Cup, that would be OK.

BUT if Darius did it and it subsequently became an anthem for the English team in the World Cup, the Tartan Army and their families would never forgive him.

If he didn't do it, and was later found not to have had other commitments, the media could paint him as mean-spirited and snubbing a very deserving Royal charity, with all the usual gusto they seem to reserve for attacking Darius every time his head rises above the parapet.

about 9 hours ago from twitterfeed No1magazine: Darius Campbell (aka Danesh) is coming to the No.1 office today to visit us! We are very excited! Cx

Does anybody know if No 1 is weekly or monthly? Just so I can check out the next edition or so.

I think No 1 is only sold in Scotland.

I've never heard of it. My poor son would get a request to get one if we find he is in it.

Just edited to say he's bringing me a copy of the Metro which he got in Edinburgh because he'd noticed a D article in it. See, that's what sons are for.

If it's the same as the Glasgow edition, it's the "Me, me,me" regular article, where they take bits from recent interviews or book, and allocate them percentages of what is going on in the celeb's head.

I actually read it today but didn't bother to keep the paper because i only had a tiny handbag with me.

I think 20% I love Nigel, 40% I'm proud to be Scottish and 40% Don't call me Danesh

They kept to printed ones in selected papers then - 5 mins googling would have done that research.

Your family are very well trained, megham.

Goodness I must have come over all Scottish - I typed well as weel at least 3 times.

The Sun today again -

OPERASTAR hunk Darius Campbell yesterday admitted he's only bedded three women.

The singer has been linked with a string of stunning celebrity dates, including Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and lads' mag favourite Abi Titmuss.

But Darius - left red-faced after fluffing the lines of Flower of Scotland at Scotland's clash with the Czechs on Wednesday - revealed he's only scored with a hat-trick of girls.

Single ... Darius CampbellThe 29-year-old said: "I've never had a one-night stand and I don't sleep around. I've only ever been with three women. I'm quite old fashioned in that way.

"I'm really enjoying being single and being a bachelor at the moment. I'm looking forward to going out on dates and meeting new people."

Darius' five-year relationship with Species star Natasha Henstridge, 35, broke up at the end of last year.

He dated Bond girl Jacqui Ainsley, 28, after they met in 2002 while filming his Colourblind video. And the singing star confirmed his first love was a medical student called Rachael who he fell for while at Edinburgh University.

He revealed all as he visited celebrity stylist Taylor Ferguson ahead of his performance at tonight's Real Radio and Scottish Sun Mr Boilersuit contest at The Garage nightclub.

And Darius admitted he was still cringing after his botched version of Flower of Scotland before our 1-0 victory at Hampden - then blamed the 26,500 FANS for his mistake over the famous lyrics.

The Popstar to Operastar winner said: "I couldn't hear myself sing. I thought we were at a different part of the song because of the echo from the crowd. I realised we weren't at that point, so I jumped back to where I started.

"But I'm just so glad that with such a great display and a victory my little slip-up will be forgotten."

There is a nice picture of D together with pictures of the girls.

Thanks, Preston.

I don't like the Sun one bit. They're trying to stir the embers by inviting further negative comments from football fans.

Give it up! You're wasting your time. Find yourself a more plausible hate/joke figure.

I get the feeling that their journalists actually believe the paper is influential. Maybe back in its heyday, but personally, I don't think the Murdoch papers have anything like the same clout.

I could believe it would be difficult to hear yourself in that arena. That's why singers at huge events often wear earpieces.

I haven't heard FOS from that night. Was Darius singing to a backing track or a pipe band like he did at Murrayfield?

I pointed out the problem before the game. The singer is trying to make it sound like an anthem while the fans are letting rip with a song from the terraces and race ahead singing it at the top of their voices.

A tiny paragraph in a side column on the Sports pages in the snob paper.

The Scotsman has never had one good word to say about Darius.

No change there, then.
