I don't mind the bananas or the Sugababes. It's the fact that more interesting things which he should know are of concern to those who care about him are being omitted.

Quote from Meg in the bits and pieces thread - really want to give back to those people who have allowed me to be where I am and I’m going to do that through a new album and tour and a really exciting 2010.

I’m so excited about my new album – I’m working on it right now and it’s a much more mature record. It’s fits somewhere between Michael Bublé and Josh Groban and it’ll hopefully be ready by the end of this year.

Regarding the first sentence - not if we dont know about it it wont.

second sentence - the momentum will be lost by the end of the year, new artistes via xfactor etc etc.plus it has been talked about for years now but no mention of label. Most official sites have a forum dont they if you are currently in the public eye.

I am begining to think that Darius is in a no win situation with alot of his fans. It is five weeks since he won PSTOS and there has been more news in those few short weeks than in the last few years - yet there is a minority of people are still moaning sometimes the comments in my opinion are uncalled for. Yes we all have our own opinions but have minority stopped to think why there has been not much news from Darius over the last couple of weeks - he is working his socks off. He is extremely busy and whilst he does appreciate each and every fan he does have to prioritise his work load and his rest time accordingly. Although Twitter is fun and is supposed to keep everyone informed if there are not physically enough hours in a day then as with most of us Twitter would be the last thing on the list of to do's. Darius has a very good team behind him who have a lot of experience, He is not by any means going to miss the boat. He is working flat out and we all should respect this. The Lincoln Theatre rela unch was apparently sold out very quickly and sometimes Darius doesn't know his diary until only a few days before so this could well be the reason that his appearance wasn't announced prior to the event happening. Please just be patient we have waited this long so having to wait a bit longer won't hurt.

It always hurts, Poppy. If you'd been on the site for longer, you'd know that we all moan but all really care how he does - which is one of the reasons for moaning. I don't know one person from the site who wouldn't do whatever they could to support him but we've also had experience of no news being given out, no publicity and no chance to help in any way we could.

Just bear with the moaning, it's just a worry thing. We've fought to keep a forum open for him and we'll still be here whatever. It is lovely having you here and, I hope, you may get used to the worrying we do about and for him for the last 10years. We aren't about to stop supporting him, juust hate the fact that if we don't know, we can't do anything to spread knowledge of what he's doing.

true, I feel guilty for moaning now, just so desperate for news of that album, I understand totally that Darius has more to do than twitter, I am sure he must be too busy most of the time. I will continue to worry though - cant help that.

Well I bloody well don't PIP!

This "minority" as you call it is entitled to have and express their opinions, just as you have in the above post regarding their actions

Yes we all have our own opinions but have minority stopped to think why there has been not much news from Darius over the last couple of weeks - he is working his socks off.
Who are you and how do you know Darius is working his socks off?

How many seconds does it take to generate a 140 character(or less) Twitter comment, which could inform people who care and are interested in Darius, as to possible opportunities to support, meet, chat, photograph and enjoy any performance he may be part of? If I can make a 400 mile round journey to see Darius for less than an hour, I don't feel it's too much to have him spend a few seconds, keeping me and the thousands of others interested, up to date on when and where he will be making a public appearance!

Once again, how do you know these things, and who are you to tell anyone how they should be acting?

I await your answers with interest poppy!

Thanks everyone for the links and video. Sorry Poppy, but we care too much to stop worrying. Perhaps it's because we've seen what's gone wrong in the past that we worry so much about the future. Sue

I wasn't trying to offend anyone and I am not telling anyone how to act. I have read the forums since it all began but don't post as you can tell I know how much Darius means to everyone through all the posts and stories I have read on here and other sites over the years.

I appreciate the clarification poppy, but would still like some answers to my questions, as your post seems to suggest you have better knowledge and insight of D's management and likelyhood of success, than any of us seem to, not to mention ticket information about a gig most of us knew nothing about until it had already been completed!

Can you let us know where you derived your information from please?

I don't have any inside knowledge, Darius' management are the Sugarbabes management and they have been around for a long time, forgive me if I am wrong that suggests to me that the team behind them knows what they are doing. As for the inside info on tickets - I wish, when I read the post about the Lincoln thing I googled it and an article dated yesterday came up saying about the tickets being snapped up or words to that affect. I myself now sometimes how hard it is to remember to do or even have time to do eveything on my to do list, Darius himself has said in interviews he is busy with the new album - yes he has said that before but somehow it seems to be nearer doesnt it. He has also been here there and everywhere doing these apperances over the last few weeks so yes I guess he has been working his socks off. Hope I have covered everything you asked

Sugarbabes aren't doing too well. I did like them a lot when they started. I think the problem is, we have been left in the dark so many times - even to the extent that not many people turned up to one which we would have gone to. That's not good for Darius. There must be some way that when a gig is booked for Darius it's automatically put somewhere that people can see. Even if the tickets were all sold, it would have been nice to know he was doing it BEFORE they'd gone on sale and been sold. I wouldn't have gone to the Lincoln one but people who are local to it would have loved to.

I do feel that this management will be much, much better than the last one but, as they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. So many things seem to not happen it is worrying. It's a habit that'll be hard tol change.

I'm glad you're posting, poppy. As you've been reading the forum, you'll know exactly why we worry.

.................and I definitely am not going to stop saying how I feel and instead let it fester.

My admiration for Darius the man and the entertainer extraordinaire are unbounded.

My faith in his management is zero. There's no buzz. No sign that they're prepared to put any real effort into promotion until the album is ready, an album which apparently has been made over and over without ever being released. It simply isn't good enough to be told to wait patiently, be seen but not heard and be a good little fan.

Your response makes me even more surprised by your original 5.49pm post poppy, but thank you for the candour of it.

As Meg has already said, you are most welcome posting here, as is any Darius fan, and you're equally entitled to your own stance and opinion on things.

If you read the same article as me, I feel that the "sold out shows" being referred to where actually performances to follow in the next few days, rather than being for the re-launch itself, and this was part of why I quizzed you, because it took me 15 minutes of faffing around just to find out the actual date of the event

Maybe we'll get some definate news in the next few weeks that will please us all and settle some of our concerns about D's future. I'm certainly keeping my fingers crossed for that :)

We shouldn't have to faff around scratching for info about what Darius is doing.

He has an official website which comes first if you type "Darius" into google. That is where everything Darius is doing should be in the public domain. Look on there and only some of the info which Darius himself has managed to put out via facebook or twitter is shown. It looks as if he's been doing hardly anything.

Apart from the anthem, no mention of the appearances or TV/radio he's done in Scotland are to be found anywhere on there. Nobody knows he was at two Princes Trust events.

What is wrong with streaming some new songs and at least having a guestbook if not a full forum.

It's unbearable that a fully functioning and vibrant fan site was sacrificed for this! Do the super team behind him really think that site is even remotely close to being adequate?

The lincolnshire echo only has a brief mention on the theatre event but at least the place was packed.

The all new Lincoln Theatre Royal opened its doors to a variety gala which was met with rapturous applause from guests and loyal fans.

The intimate theatre in Clasketgate, was packed to the rafters on Saturday night.

Dressed in their finest, the audience cheered acts including recent winner of TV's Pop Star to Opera Star, Darius Campbell; new star on the classical scene Camilla Kerslake and old hands, Bobby Davro and the current Rat Pack gang from London's West End.

We can let Darius's management know of our concerns ;)

Aye, right!

Nice little teaser in the People yesterday saying that Heidi Range of the Sugabbaes was about to sign a million pound contract with Universal Classics. True or not, it sets up some anticipatory discussion as insurance in case the Sugababes should "take a break".

There's not one of them is a tenth of the singer Darius is.

Where is the announcement about his record contract?

He didn't want to play third fiddle to Will and Gareth. This lot will have him play triangle to the Sugababes.
