Someone has posted on Will's site that Darius is one of the srtists performing at the second night of the Mercedes Benz classical weekend. They found out when seeking out info on Will headlining the concert there on July 3rd.

Russell Watson, Darius, Mylene Klass & Escala.

Not sure of the date but just thought you might like to know.

wouldnt mind seeing the second night, but paying for the the pop trash on the first night is included in the two day ticket I think. I have seen Will Young live, and dont want to go through that again, in fact I dont like any of those pop acts, SFG were just terrible live on that comedy show the other night.

I'm not interested in anyone on the 3rd other than Will. I would love to hear him sing live, but the ticket's seem really expensive IMO. Similarly with the 4th I'm only really interested to see D, and as he's not headlining it seems like a lot of money to see him play just part of the show. Hopefully we'll get lots of chances to see him on his own before and after this show, fingers crossed :)

Is anyone thinking of attending this?

It's just a 10 min drive for me. Unlike the rest of you, I'd rather he was in the first night - I like a lot of those acts. I'd watch the classical show for Darius and hope he was on first so I didn't have to listen to the rest. I like classical music except when there are voices in it. I do love the power in Darius' voice when he sings it. I think it's lucky that he didn't start training in this kind of singing until he was adult. It still has a tone which is very much him and he does it so well.

I'd have to try and get a photo of Russell Watson for my Aunt Betty though. She really likes him a lot.

Aren't they separate tickets? It says book tickets against each night.

When I type Darius into ticketmaster, I get no results.

I've tried music, theatre & arts and family attractions tabs and all come up with nothing, other than a suggestion for Darius Rucker but no locations, and a suggestion for David Campbell with a result detailing Glen Campbell in Wales.

I know artists get slotted in later and I realise that might be the case with Darius on classical leaning bills, but ticketmaster by its nature has to be updated regularly. Surely someone on his team should have the nous to make sure he comes up on their search and if he doesn't, find out why not.

BT look at the ticketmaster screen print I put above.

Russell Watson is headlining, but on the side in a box it gives the others taking part and has Darius there.

You can't book till 9th.

It's pre-booking now....

I won t be able to go to this as its too far for me But I would be glad to go to the night Darius is on, I wouldnt want to see the supporting acts with Will. I dont feel that it will necesarily be classical as I have heard Russell watson many times and he is quite prone to doing ballads in the ilk of From a distance like D did at the albert hall and I wouldnt consider that song for instance to be classical exactly and I imagine the other acts similar. I would hope D would include some of the arias including his favourite that were on PSTOS because I think they would get the same response that they did at covent garden. and would remind people of the show.
I'd love something new. 7 acts in 3hrs. Darius should have at least 30-40 minutes. Who's an optimist?
