It's odd, but that came today in an alert. I thought it was new.

The alerts frequently put out old news for some strange reason.

It was from 4th of February - very good to see again though. I just thought "Doesn't he seem young" but it's only 7 months ago. Also a broken neck away though.

Good interview, thanks Meg. I wish he'd been on one of the daytime chat shows though promoting the tour, it doesn't seem to have had that much promotion. Hope it's a success. (Just the nerves kicking in as usual! :rolleyes: ) Sue

Well, they have been slowly adding dates. I hope it's successful enough for them to add more - even if they're after the panto.

 

Just adding that I keep meeting people around here who have no idea a Big Band Tour is going on. They have been pointed in the direction of the nearest show. If they like swing, then they need to have heard it's going to be on. We only know because Darius is in it.

it doesnt seem to have much PR, although most local theatre stuff relies on the booklet and in house posters - ocal press etc I suppose

It still needs to be seen that there is a tour.

 

I have to add to this that Darius has been doing his best to publicise it, it just needs something with a wider audience - like a peak time show which he and the band can perform on.

I do wish he would find someone reliable to handle his publicity. He can't be expected to do it himself when he is so busy

producing and starring, as well as his other commitments.

He often doesn't know what he's doing until he's actually taken there. Annoying for us as neither do we.

But his PR people should have been thought of that. :angry: The tour won't be a success if only a few people know it's happening. Darius does his best, but like you say, it shouldn't just be down to him.
