February 24, 201015 yr Can we have that in English, Darius? I'll have to replay it to listen properly. I was waiting for him to sing the chorus in English and wasn't listening to the Italian. Edited February 24, 201015 yr by Baytree
February 24, 201015 yr I understood enough to know he was singing just to me :) Can we have it recorded for download PLEEEEEEAAAASSSSEEEE!!!
February 24, 201015 yr Maybe it was too personal to sing in English!! Didn't he say it was called 'I will always love you'...... I wonder who it was written for!!?? Absolutely lovely - I wonder who helped him write in Italian. The first bit of promotion for the new single?/album? He certainly is multi-talented!! Julie
February 24, 201015 yr Yes, he did, Julia. Kind of brought me back round to "Right Girl Wrong Time" I wonder why?
February 24, 201015 yr I've never heard Darius accompanied by a solo harp before. Was that performance Darius sending the message that he will not just sing other people's songs? If it was, can I just :yahoo:  :cheer:
February 24, 201015 yr :D yup, singer -songwriter, the song was wonderful, like his b side demos, , pure and beautiful
February 24, 201015 yr Darius' talent is clear, who of the others would have written and then performed a song in Italian? That being said, I don't speak Italian, so couldn't understand the sentiment of the song or indeed any of the lyrics. Also, it was lovely to hear him with just the harp, but I don't really feel this song showed his voice off to it's best. I love D and have enjoyed his performances on the show, but it's not the genre I want to hear him perform in the future, though this was more of a ballad than an opera style IMO. I feel, as with WGWT, it could be a message to his X(given the title) and whilst this is lovely(if it's the case) I'd have preferred D to do something else for his first performance after his win. I hope we can have an album of English songs, in however many different styles he chooses to incorparate, and that his win of this show doesn't steer his career towards classical and opera style singing.
February 24, 201015 yr i actually missed his opera voice lol, although possibly if he had sung it opera stylee he would have courted too big for his boots comments, it must be hard for him, as he does so many styles well, i rather want a less poppy album, i just would rather it in english..perhaps he was showing that contrary to llbs comments his italian is qiute fine thankyou
February 24, 201015 yr Author Unfortunately I totally agree with what B.P says. I think the first performance after the show could have been either something from the show or something the audience could acquaint with (thats not the word I am looking for) but I also felt the song did not show off his voice bearing in mind some of the tele audiences may not have seen PSTOS.
February 24, 201015 yr hiya can anyone post a link to this as I cannot get itv casue stv have got there own show on at this time
February 24, 201015 yr The audience in the studio certainly seemed to like it. I've listened to it a few times now and I really, really like it and if he'd just give me a translation of the lyrics, I'd like to keep it in Italian, much more romantic.
