Delta Goodrem: 'I'll do a UK tour'

Delta Goodrem has revealed that she plans to stage a tour of the UK following the release of her fourth album.

The singer, who rose to prominence with a role on Neighbours, has toured twice in Australia but took neither show to British shores.

However, after being asked on Twitter whether she ever plans to perform for fans in the UK, Goodrem replied: "I'm making the new album at the moment. So 100% tour on the next album!"

Goodrem released her first two albums Innocent Eyes and Mistaken Identity in Britain, but concentrated on the Australian and US markets for 2007 follow-up Delta.

The 25-year-old recently said that her fourth album will be "raw" and "stripped back", but kept tight-lipped on when it will hit shelves.

Delta tour in the UK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to this :D :D :D

This had better happen - my 21st birthday present from mum and dad would be tickets to see Delta in concert - I'm now 23

I'm so there, even if it involves travelling to England!

I love the Believe Again tour DVD, it would be amazing to have been there.

I'll ensure I'm front row if it ever happens! I'm a bit worried about the impending Brian McFadden support slot though, I can do without hearing Meal For Me and Irish Bun ever again :heehee:

:heehee:

I'll be front row at Glasgow to ensure plenty of abuse gets thrown at Mcf***wit if he desecrates the aussie flag or the scottish one [despite me being english] like he did on the Believe Again DVD or if he attempts to sing.

She said 'on the next album' to be fair, which hasn't come out yet.

But I still can't see it happening. I don't see why they'd even release it here when Delta and all of its singles were criminally ignored? And she wouldn't be able to do a full scale tour, there wouldn't be enough interest. Maybe a few London dates in small venues.

Woah, Delta wasn't released in Britain?! :o After four Top 4 singles in 2002-2005?

Not to my knowledge.

Not to my knowledge.

That is weird then. She is (was?) quite successfull there. :o

The whole Kerry-Brian-Delta thing trashed her rep and she wasn't very well liked. :drama:

For some reason this country just loved that trashy slag Katona.

Nope, didn't get a proper release here, physically or digitally :( Although was thrown on iTunes last year at some point I think.

The media were quite hostile to her circa 2005 because of Brianandkerrygate so she probably thought it was wise to stay away for a few years to let things calm down. I remember when she and Brian were on the front pages of some of the rags for being home wreckers. I guess it was seen as worse because he's a dad to (some of) Kerry's children, so the picture was painted that Delta was splitting up a family. Delta and Brian maintained that they didn't start a relationship or further their friendship until his and Kerry's relationship had come to its natural end, but I'm not sure where I start and stop believing that story.

Because she won 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here' I suppose, was it the year before? I've never been a fan. Ironic that I never liked Atomic Kitten until she left  Or maybe it's because Jenny from Precious joined and Precious had been my favourite girlband beforehand.

I can't believe somebody could not like Delta, she really seems so nice from pictures LOL, somehow it feels like it :drama:

Now i see what went wrong. Otherwise Delta could've been much bigger in the UK i guess. Public always blames women for whom husbands leave their previous spouses :drama:

TBH, blame MEN for everything is a win, however UK seems to like men more than women, even to the extent of only THREE guys being evicted from BB11 during the first 10 weeks. :| (Thank God the last girl remaining won in the end  )

Men always have an advantage in British talent shows, and hence are always installed as favourites at the start, almost without exception. That said, I'm surprised JLS didn't manage to beat Alexandra in X Factor 2008. But look how many times Eoghan Quigg topped the week by week voting :/ Of course, Leona's only competition in the final was the tragic Ray, but still I think the vote split was only 60/40 in the final. Ray wouldn't have lasted more than one single and would have been an awful winner :(

I'm learning more and more about UK's talent shows each day :heehee: I never watched X-Factor 2008, only liked Diana from there, from youtube videos.

Owen Quigg is that Bieber-like little boy that finished third? He was awful even though i never heard a single song he performed.

Leona was almost robbed?! :o :o OMG, i thought she won by a landslide.

edit: not to forget Susan Boyle! Robbed isn't even the word   Where's that Paul guy that won now? PFFFFFFFT

Yep that's right  :puke: There was talk of him and Diana being in a relationship at the time!

Susan was beaten by dance troupe Diversity. Paul Potts was a winner from a previous series and had quite a bit of worldwide success actually :o although it didn't last long, but who can tell how long Susan Boyle's success will last?

Leona was head and shoulders above everyone else in that year. She's the only act I've ever voted for every week to stay in the competition, I hardly ever vote in things like that. Truly stunning vocals every single week. Could It Be Magic was my personal favourite performance of hers from X Factor.

OMG was he like 13?  JAILBAIT :kink:

All a blur to me now since i never watched it as well.

OOOOOOOOH i know it was that 7-ish year old girl who was robbed by Paul! It was so devastating to watch. :(

From what i've seen last year on X-factor and from the Top 5 of X-factor 2008 i caught at that time Leona is definitely better by FAR. Shame she is supposedly having some difficulties in her career atm, i'm wrong maybe though.
