Butch release his new album, “I Liked It Better When You Had No Heart”, today. It will be released under the name Butch Walker & the Black Widows. Butch will support the record with a tour with Train in March, then a headlining tour of the States. He will then be opening for Pink in Europe on her Stadium Festival Tour. Though he’s been a first-call songwriter and producer for artists ranging from Fall Out Boy to Weezer to Pink to Dashboard Confessional for some time, Butch Walker has never had more to write about than he does right now. In recent years he has witnessed the birth of his first child, lost his home (and recording masters) to Malibu wildfires, and turned 40. Appropriately then, Butch’s new album I Liked It Better When You Had No Heart is about beginnings, endings, and the long journey in between. The album, featuring eleven new songs co-written by Walker and his songwriting partner Michael Trent, will be released on cd and digitally on February 23, 2010. TRACKLIST 1. Trash Day 2. Pretty Melody 3. Don t You Think Someone 4. Should Take You Home 5. Stripped Down Version 6. Canadian Ten 7. Temporary Title 8. She Likes Hair Bands 9. House of Cards 10. February 26, 201015 yr Author Pink’s tweet: @butchwalker ’s show last night at hotel cafe was magical. he can put on a show. i wanna be that good one day. “One of many highlights of the show was when P!nk joined Walker to sing “Here Comes The. . .” off of Walker’s previous album Sycamore Meadows. Now, P!nk may write very catchy pop songs, but the woman ROCKS. I’ve never actually been to one of P!nk’s concerts, but I have seen her jump on stage with Walker a few times. And every time I see her, I like her even more than the last. Like Walker, Alecia Moore (aka P!nk) is genuinely, 100%, who she is. And she is f***in’ awesome. When they finished the song and Moore walked off stage, Walker began, “That was. . . ” and then looking at his long-time friend, Moore, said with a chuckle, “YOU!” The audience laughed. “It just feels so weird to say, ‘Ladies and Gentlemen – PINK!’” Walker added.” D_EDreRLXmc
