It just makes things so easy when you need them. I'd hesitate about putting things on ebay anymore as the combination of their charges and paypal charges makes it a very expensive way to sell.
I only ever bought one thing on e-bay and promptly got caught by a fake e-mail which caused me a load of hassle.
I've bought many things and not had a problem. I am very cautious with emails though.

I still think the way The Prayer has been promoted is dreadful. I thought the point of a charity single was twofold to raise awareness and to raise as much money as possible.

It's a beautiful song and superior IMO to Everybody Hurts which got blanket promotion from the first minute SC decided to do it. I wonder how many people have had the opportunity to hear The Prayer all the way through.

I'm hoping it starts a new wave of publicity after 11th April when it should be available more widely. I hope they got a lot of money from The Mail on Sunday for them having sole rights to it for these weeks.
Has anyone received the CD yet? I'm still waiting for mine and it seems a long time since I ordered it!
It sounded as though we'd have quite a wait. I hope they don't make us wait until after April 11th.
Well, we are a good way through it now - not far enough though and I do have the mp3

Thanks, not just me then so I won't bother chasing it up and I have the download to listen to :)

I would be less patient if I thought we had a Darius B-side to discover, I always looked forward to hearing those when buying his singles ;)

I'm hoping that as this show is under the auspices of Classic FM, The Prayer may be released by them and made available on the major download sites. I'm sure it could do really well.

Did you know it was mentioned (played?) on CNN in the US last week?

This is the show towards which Paul Potts is walking for charity from his home in Port Talbot.

He hasn't had anything like the coverage that other celebs get when they do something as remarkable - e.g. David Walliams, Christine Bleakley recently. Why is that? Because Paul is a low key, genuine guy who has only mentioned it in an aside in interviews?

At least it's being played. I hope it gets more publicity soon. I hope we get it soon.

I don't think it's getting any airplay as such. I haven't heard it any time I've had Classic FM on and you'd think it would definitely be the first station to do it.

I think the CNN thing was just one established presenter who'd heard it and thought it was so beautiful, he simply had to recommend it to others.

I haven't heard it on Classic fm yet either. I'm hoping to after the Mail on Sundays agreement ends.

Otherwise, it's a waste. There were many, many more talented people involved than the 23 named acts listed.

There were 3 different recording sessions in different locations. With so many harmonies, putting it all together was much more of a marathon for the sound engineers and producers behind scenes than the usual big charity singles e.g. Band Aid or the other Haiti single Everybody Hurts.

Paul Potts was on Loose Women last week. He talked about the walk he was doing, but still no mention of the charity CD. The Priests never mentioned it during their interview and now no mention again. It would have been an ideal chance to promote it. Sue
