Just heard on Real Radio that Meatloaf is about to release a new CD and is having a special invitation only launch party soon. More details tomorrow apparently.

I found Meatloaf a rampant show off, who shouted a load of drivel and thought he was the entertainment king of the show, even although he was mainly positive about Darius.

I had to mute my TV when he "sang" Bat etc.

I certainly won't be bothering with his album. I saw an advert the other day for KJ's which seemed to be for a re-release with a few added songs.

Everyone else seemed to be doing the show and have planned albums/tours scheduled before they'd even agreed to doing it. Darius has to wait for everything to be set up. It must be frustrating for him.
From that point of view they were able to promote those albums/tours but D had nothing to promote., thats what I dont understand.

They were established here, Darius is restarting from square one. He hadn't moved back to the UK long before. It takes much longer and includes a change in management and everything else.
Hope the re-establishing doesn't take too long, the public's memory can be very short.

Popstar To Operastar is expected to return for a second series next year.

ITV's group finance manager Ian Griffiths revealed that the programme has landed a second run at ITV's Interim Results Meeting earlier this week.

The reality show, which was hosted by Alan Titchmarsh and Myleene Klass, was rumoured to have been dropped by the broadcaster following disappointing ratings.

However, it picked up 4.04 million viewers for the live final and performed better than similar shows in the Friday evening slot such as Marco's Kitchen Burnout and Michael Winner's Dining Stars.

No details on the hosts, judges or when a second series will air have been announced.

Pop Idol's Darius Campbell triumphed in the first series, beating Bernie Nolan in the final. Other popstars who took part in the competition, which challenged singers to learn how to perform opera, included Kym Marsh, McFly's Danny Jones and Blur's Alex James.

Thanks Meg, that's interesting. The trouble is, it just wouldn't be the same without Darius. Sue

They should get Darius and Mylene to host the show - I'm sure Darius wouldn't mind committing himself for a few weeks and he and Mylene get on really well together! Alan Titchmarsh just looked like 'a fish out of water', although I'm sure he appealed to an audience of a 'certain age'!! :D

I'm sure if the 2nd series does happen that D will at least make a guest appearance. He might even be considered as one of the judges, as he would have a unique insight into the contestants trials and tribulations. I think he'd have much more relevent and constructive comments to make than most, if not all of the judges from the first series.

We'll have to wait and see.

I doubt he has the credentials to judge (I'd hate to have him pulled down by the GBP) but he would make a great host.
