Posted March 9, 201015 yr Darius official Twitter has just posted up back in Glasgow... wander if tis for promotion or for family.. Anyone?? x
March 9, 201015 yr Hope all is well. It must have been quite a sudden decision. He wouldn't have posted that he was back from Glasgow on his facebook yesterday, if he knew he was coming back today.
March 9, 201015 yr :( I hope it is nothing, but yup he only jsut posted he had returned from seeing family up there
March 9, 201015 yr Author God knows what it is, he hasn't given much away by just saying 'back up in Glasgow' I have a feeling it's promotional work maybe, I know the Xfactor is up in Glasgow the now but I can't think why he would come up to Glasgow for that! Oh well I am sure well find out sooner or later, Just hope it wasn't something the Scottish fans could have went along too and support him at! :( xxx
March 9, 201015 yr Well I'm watching The Hour and D's not on there but Shaun Williamson is. Looking great. He's taking on Ronnie Barker's role as Norman Stanley Fletcher in Porridge. He says he prefers acting on stage because that's what actors are trained for. It's at the Kings Theatre Edinburgh, until Saturday.
March 10, 201015 yr It's funny how we're impatient not knowing what Darius is up to, when we used to go for months with barely one news article or picture.
March 10, 201015 yr I think it's the old worry again - I just don't want him keeping a low profile again . I'm aware that it'd be unlikely I could get to whatever he was doing but I really want him to keep doing something in the public eye.

You're right Meg.I worry because I feel hes not built on his achievements in the past, perhaps not through his own fault, and this time I so want him to build on his popularity from PSTOS. Sue
March 11, 201015 yr I wish I had some inkling about how D's new management see him as a product to be promoted. I don't like putting it that way but you know what I mean. Are we looking at a celeb, with all that entails - courting the lowest common denominator mass publicity with no thought to quality or are we looking at a more niche appeal with promotion tailored to that and fewer articles/public appearances not directly related to his day job, singing and acting. Darius is so talented with so much potential, I'd hate to see all that trivialised. I'm not saying they should pass up reasonable opportunities for Darius to appear in public, just be a little selective, especially if he's hoping to add classical crossover material and work to his repertoire. With the possible exceptions of Charlotte Church and Katherine Jenkins, those artists don't court mass publicity.
March 11, 201015 yr I agree about being selective Baytree. I expected more higher class concerts, corporate things etc etc after all the appearance on the Prayer cd doesnt seem to fit with the diet coke event in ireland but as you have said before perhaps its the only chance for an appearance in ireland. However he has done enough recently I feel to produce a single or album now and surely he is not going to miss the bus again. His management manage the Sugarbabes dont they and perhaps that style of events is what they are used to doing. I certainly dont think Josh Grobin or Michael Buble would appear at such an event but then they are not easing themselves back in to the public eye.
March 11, 201015 yr  Rewind!! Reeeeeeewind!!! .......Diet Coke event in Ireland????? :o Details please, I haven't heard anything about this.....maybe it's something I could try to get to!
March 11, 201015 yr Fate Magazine Awards, Sharon. I think the article said sold out though. The Sugababes have a new album out next week and they're now in a legal struggle with the former Sugababes over their right to the name. I know it's bit rich of me to say one minute that I want him to be more like JB and do whatever work comes up and next minute say I want him to be selective. I don't think he should summarily turn down opportunities to sing/act. That's his job. More people have to see he has a fine voice, is a great live performer and has bags of charisma. Only 4.5 million people maybe 5-6m watched PSTOS, given that exactly the same combination wouldn't have watched every week. I want Darius's management/PR people to watch his back with regard to his private life and the lee-way he gives certain parts of the media with regard to access and the liberties they can take in interviews.
