The Serbian national broadcaster, RTS, has made an announcement about their national selection. Namely, they've revealed the three finalists for their upcoming national final.

It was previously already stated by RTS that their entry would be written by the renowned composer Goran Bregovic. He then had a casting with ten singers - Zeljko Vasic, Milan Stankovic, Minja Samardzic, Emina Jahovic, Marija Lazic, Nenad Ceranic, Oliver Katic, Jelena Markovic, Marko Vulinović and Adil Maksutovic - from whom he picked the three finalists.

Now the decision has been made - Milan Stankovic, Emina Jahovic and Oliver Katic feat. Jelena Markovic will compete!

The national selection for Serbia for the 55th edition of Europe's favourite TV-show will be held on the 13th of March

Why is Jelena featuring and the other three main performers? I don't think I know any of them anyway...

Emina FTW!

here's Emina:

also known as the balkan Penelope Cruz

one of her latest hits:

and one in english:

only Emina can save serbia this year!!!

If the song is as good as they describe the composer, i expect to be jizzling over it everywhere until end of may every time i hear it. <3 :o
Only realised I've been seen them talking with Severina five minutes later when she started singing 'Gas'
Is there a link? BF is watching a boring documentary, I might as well stick with Eurovision :kink:

he looks like Ola with an even more tragic haircut

NOT a good entry - again :(

Milan Stanković "Ovo je Balkan"

I like the sound (obviously)!

Not my sort of thing. Nice that it's true to Serbian culture, I always appreciate that, but I'm not a fan of it personally.
After listening to the other two i think i prefer the song they chose
2008 was wonderful. But 2009 & 2010 :puke2: Serbia - where did it all go wrong? This may possibly be the worst entry so far this year
Dear lord, I actually quite like it! :o He needs a complete style rehaul before May though. He looks like Mitch Hewer gone wrong.
My goodness Buzzjack. Be afraid, be VERY afraid. If he can revamp his look, we could well be going back to Belgrade next year! Catchy as, and ridiculously summery!
Nobody wasn't good enough of those three left, and all three songs are silly, so I perfectly don't mind who will represent us this year. I just don't like that sound.
I say they chose the song properly! :D Emina's song was quite stupid with this 'ding dong' rip off some song :/ Seems like it's Xmas.

I can't see it personally. It doesn't strike me as something that Western countries are going to rush to vote for unlike Wild Dances or Believe which were much more obviously accessible to across Europe. It might do well in Eastern Europe but surely the big votes there will go to Croatia, Romania and Moldova (unless the latter two are too contemporary sounding). Femminnem could default their way towards the top of the scoreboard here!
