I think Serbia will miss out this year.

The singer is freaky, the song is cheap and nasty and I belive only won because of the words "Beograd and Balkan". Emina could have been a shoe-in to win.

But, let's be honest, Emina is the same 'quality' as chosen song.

Balkan, Balkan, Ovo Je Balkan, come on :kink:

This is probably the strangest thing I have ever heard or seen. And I have watched Eurovision since 1994.

I can't see it personally. It doesn't strike me as something that Western countries are going to rush to vote for unlike Wild Dances or Believe which were much more obviously accessible to across Europe. It might do well in Eastern Europe but surely the big votes there will go to Croatia, Romania and Moldova (unless the latter two are too contemporary sounding). Femminnem could default their way towards the top of the scoreboard here!

Let's not forget that the Serbian diaspora has worked its way into much of western Europe, as well as Scandinavia! As a song devoted to the Balkans, ethnically AND lyrically (as well as not being actually that bad :o), it'll pretty much get top marks across the board from there (Romania and Moldova will exchange 12s and get high-ish points from the rest of the East I reckon), as well as high marks from the diaspora. Top ten is pretty realistic, and in the open field of this year I don't think we can rule out any potential top ten as a potential victor!

Laka?

My goodness Buzzjack. Be afraid, be VERY afraid. If he can revamp his look, we could well be going back to Belgrade next year! Catchy as, and ridiculously summery!

I think it may make the final as it's in the weaker semi, but I could see it coming last in the final.

Belgrade 2011 - no way. Berlin 2011 - yes please

This definitely won't come last...

it's not that folkish, and it's more Severina-ish, and I like her :P

plus her looks help a lot

All 3 songs sounded turbo-folky equally imo :o Severina's last album was produced by the composer of this year's entry so i'd say it's not Severina-ish, but Goran Bregović-ish :P

Her look is only that can help, for you, you know, boys... For me, it's very $h!tty song. Without any sense in words, even worse then Milan's, if something can be worse. She's just making some sound, those aren't words!

Her look isn't going to help a lot of us boys tbh :kink:

Laka?

Yeah but I bloody loved Laka! The washing line, crazy wedding gown woman, everything. All in all in my top 5 of 2008, and my favourite Bosnian entry ever

I meant the atittude of the performance, sassy and sexy, just like Seve! :whip:

of course they have the Brega sound, we all expected that

It was just a cheap copy of marvellous Severina :smoke:

And Turkey misses the finals :w00t:

LOL, this last?

I think you don't know here in west how the sound of Bregivic is loved in the East Europe. If itt is written by him, it is not the best song, but still good enough to make a lot of east-europian to vote for it. I see in top 20

*i still haven't the song which will get my vote  . Rushing to hear Romania's song*

I'm ashamed of myself. This has quickly become my favourite entry of the year!
