March 21, 201015 yr Fantastic thanks Meg! Although I like Colourblind, it was never a favourite of mine, even though it was so successful for D, but accoustically it's superb :)
March 21, 201015 yr lovely its always been a fav of mine..put it on in the car or where ever when the sun shines and it really makes me feel like its summer
March 22, 201015 yr Thank you meg. PIP could Non Piu andrai and colourblind be pinned please PIP. Thanks.
March 22, 201015 yr Another version of CB to add to my favourites. A good song endures the passage of time and is capable of re-interpretation over and over. Colourblind certainly does that. I love the acoustic ones especially TOTP and the one he did high up in Oran Mor, but I have to admit there is nothing quite like the original blasting out over the car stereo on a wonderful sunny summer day. It never fails to work the magic - Feeling fine. Sublime!
March 24, 201015 yr Mmmmmmm Colourblind will always be my fav! ..........................but of cause i loooooooooove all of them!!
March 24, 201015 yr I really want to see wild Darius again, dressed casually and prowling a pop stage again, at one with his band. I could accept that he'd moved on if we'd ever had a decent Dvd. We lost all the fan videos on Sonnet's site. That was done to give the official site its pecking order on Google but now the official site has dropped down because as usual there's hardly anything there to bother with. If there was a forum or some streamed music, there might be some point in going there.

We lost all the fan videos on Sonnet's site. quote] Oh... so do I BT.. B) but I think those days are sadly gone for ever!! :( I'm looking at my favourite photo of D at Lincoln Castle, as I type - I think that was my favourite gig with D, we all had such a great weekend and he was so 'raunchy'!! :w00t:   Girls Aloud were supposed to be the headline act and after the show all you could hear was people saying how disappointed they had been with GA and how amazing Darius had performed!! Hopefully, these events are captured on film somewhere and we may get another DVD in the future carrying on from 'The Story So Far' - we can only but hope!! :D But now we are continuing 'on the journey' with D and as he is maturing his challenges are changing - I'm with him all the way nomatter what he decides to do next :D (even, I think if sometime it means I have to sit through an opera!!! :o  ) Julie
March 24, 201015 yr Of course I'm behind Darius. That will never change. I've not only supported him all the way, my admiration for Darius as a performer and as a human being has grown and grown as the years have gone by.
March 24, 201015 yr I am totaly the same, it is a shame if we dont get to see wild darius again..but time goes on, people grow..and luckily I love anything he does..

If the new site ever decided to put old vids on it'd be nice. I bet delphi has some as well.
March 24, 201015 yr I think the wild pop days are gone by, he has matured in performance and age but I am not sad about that as I am getting to hear the real voice. I know what baytree means about getting out there and not musical theatre but I do feel that performing is one of his major strengths together with the voice thats why I loved Popstar to opera star as I got to see both, however it doesnt have to be opera.A little story from last week, I took three spare copies of Ds singles to sell and separated them from the other cds I had, within five minutes they were sold to a gentleman of about 50 who said he loved him and would buy his album when it came out, however, I think he will not be expecting pop because of the programmes title but not necessarily expecting opera more of a mixture and that programme has defin itely made him known to more of the public. The power of tv.
March 24, 201015 yr Yes, and that's why I think Darius has to avoid MT atm to take advantage of live performance and TV slots. Out of sight is out of mind is an old proverb which remains true today. His voice hasn't reached full maturity yet. He has years ahead when he could still wow MT audiences.
March 24, 201015 yr I've enjoyed the two charity events I managed to get to. The opera voice is great but I do love many of his older songs. I would have to force myself to sit through another opera. I haven't done for years and it's not a temptation. I would quite like a mixed performance of pop, MT, the type of song I'd think his next cd would be and classically sung opera. Just any appearance I could get to would do for now.
March 24, 201015 yr I wouldnt sit through a full opera either but I loved the arias he did on POSTOS. They were fairly short and were very popular with the public. I noticed with Non piu diu at covent garden that the public were clapping along at the end and he got a great ovation so why not a couple at least on the album. I would put their titles with in brackets POPSTARTOOPERASTAR, The public would then connect with them.
March 24, 201015 yr My other problem with the pop days is that he didnt get airplay with live twice and it could be back to square one again. I say this particularly as having seen the Sugababes are under the same management and it is reported that their album charted at 14 at the weekend and yesterday it wa 35 and today between 35 and 40. and thats with lots of promotion. His management will surely be wary next time. Wouldnt want him to go that route again.
