Oh no, I'm so sorry for you Rich :( . I feel awful now for moaning about not making YCNY as it's nothing compared to missing MF. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise and something really good will come up because you couldn't go, I hope something good will come up anyway.

As far as pronounciations are concerned, I'm afraid I'm guilty of shortening words. I can't even pronounce my own name correctly. I say Marr-in instead of Martin

Yeah, hopefully something will come up, I've got another 8 days off work now anyway I've got to find something to do :drama:

do you also say 'an' instead of 'and' :kink: Pete Waterman wouldn't be happy!

Yep :kink:

I'm a chav! :o :drama:

Oh, the links would've been be'eh ( :kink: ) Jerick, the page works slightly slower with embedded videos :(

Hæppy now? =P

Rich! I just got your message. I'm so gutted for you! That's awful...I'm the same, I rarely get sick but it always seems to happen at the worst possible time.

I'll make sure to keep you posted on all the goss (although if you think that would make you feel worse then just say and I'll keep schtum!)

That's really a shame, Grant was looking forward to meeting you as well :( Hopefully something else great will come up before long!

Thanks, I still feel quite bad now, so even had I been scheduled to travel today I don't think I would have been able to :(

Have a great time though, I'm sure our paths will cross at some other Eurovision related event in the not too distant future :w00t: hope it's amazing for you and as tense/exciting as last year's final :D

my new prediction for the final;

1. Anna Bergendahl

2. Salem Al Fakir

3. Eric Saade

4. Darin

5. Timoteij

6. Jessica Andersson

7. Peter Joback

8. Pernilla Wahlgren

9. Ola

10. Andreas Johnson

I think Kom is this year's Stay The Night sadly, a massive fan favourite but no chance of winning this whatsoever...Sweden are throwing away a near guaranteed return to the top ten if they don't send it in my opinion but there we go, looks like the UK will stand out more with yet another ballad selected! Andreas, Pernilla and Ola are interchangeable, they're complete no hopers though...I gather Jessica's been building some momentum so she could dark horse it, but not into the top five I wouldn't have thought, it's too strong...

This is starting 7pm UK time right? I can't memorize

Finally have the chance to listen to them all :o

Bergendahl: Very nice, would doubtless finish respectably in the final as a fairly contemporary slice of MOR pop balladry (fabulous middle eight!), but ultimately it feels like it's missing something (I'm thinking particularly of the sort-of-but-not-quite epic final chorus) . The Swedes would really be missing a trick if they sent this! // 8/10

Eric Saade: The verses tricked me into thinking this had huge potential, but my GOODNESS the chorus is infuriating! Just no. Wouldn't do all that well in the ESC... // 4/10
Peter Joback: Starts off quite dire. Seriously, proper cringe. Get better about 50 seconds in, but generally sounds like a mess - poorly fitting beat, general dullfest, wailing all around. For something that got through on name alone, I will be disgusted if this finishes any higher than 7th. // 1/10
Timoteij: Charming, ethnic yet contemporary, insanely catchy and memorable, ticks all the boxes for potential Eurovision winner. I will be so upset if the Swedes don't see tomorrow that this is a pretty certain winner against the dire competition they face this year. // 10/10

grr...Salem posted a photo on his Facebook of him just now signing in the lobby of the hotel I should have been staying in

NOT IMPRESSED :drama: I should have dragged myself there, although seeing as I've moved no further than the kitchen since Wednesday, I'm thinking that this would have been an impossibility

On a side note, the studio version of Kom is truly spectacular.

I'd feel absolutely devastated in your position Rich! :(

Get ready for a massive letdown then, it's destined to 'do a Stay The Night'.

I am gutted, I can't believe I get sick for the first time in 6 months or more now :( at least I wasn't ill for GaGa I suppose (i.e. the best concert of ALL time), but still MF is an experience like no other (well maybe Eurovision :kink:). One day I will make it to ESC!

Salem al Fakir: The intro to this is fantastic! The backing electro 'screams' sound really 80s as well - this is a truly, truly spectacular track, but I can't at all call how it would do at the ESC! :o // 10/10

Seeing as he is the only act capable of overhauling Anna Bergendahl (in my opinion), I'll be supporting him all the way...I've never had two distinct favourites before but I geuinely can't pick between Kom and Keep On Walking. It's not as popular on BuzzJack as Kom (naturally, he lacks breasts) and has been described as 'a forgettable non-song' by Hitstastic and Mikey!

Pernilla Wahlgren: AMAZING. My aging Lena Philipsson-esque diva quota just got maxxed out. Easily the most stereotypically Swedish entry of them all, this is the sort of thing that would've finished 5th with 170 points about five or so years ago. It's a shame it doesn't go down too well anymore :( // 10/10
