I have Mika's first album. The second was not good at all imo. :( Much like Alphabeat's gorgeous début and dreadful follower.

my perfect EP for his comeback;

1. Kick Ass

2. Rain

3. We Are Golden

4. Human Frontier

5. Backseat

I'm sure he could pull of the last two effortlessly :kink:

I'm sure you could probably put Keep On Walking and some Rongedal on there too!

Say what? :o The second album was far more consistent IMO, but just lacking pop classics - the first album had two or three pop classics but the rest was mostly filler.

lol u see how the differ tastes matter...I've only had listen to 10000 night (something like this) from 1st Alphabeat album and that thanks to Now 71 (I think) compilation, but immadiately bought 2nd album after I heard Hole In My Heart
Oh yes, obv the EP would have Kick Ass on it :P If he'd just gone ahead and released Kick Ass as lead single followed by Rain he might still have a career!

Tru dat, but if every single he ever released was a different version of Relax Take It Easy, he'd be Michael bloody Jackson

I adore BOTH Alphabeat albums  But it took me until last April until I heard Fantastic 6 until I bought the first album

Whoa :o You need to listen to Boyfriend and Fascination!

Rubber Boots too
(I've read an article somewhere that all of her Fame CD's incl. remixes approached 500k in Japan :o)

I think that's true, which is actually an amazing figure for Japan, being quite a small country, and they are like France but more extreme in that they will usually only buy Japanese music and not western artists...

I know I'm far behind music circa 2007-2010 apart from GaGa :kink:

but now I'm back at home and I'm catching slowly and revive the passion I had for music.

Meh tbh. But Touch Me Touching You

That's cool, I still have a huge gap in music knowledge between late 2004 and early 2007 when I first moved in with my partner and only listened to 80s music  I really need to find a Spotify playlist or two...

that's what I'm saying, and IMO the Fame remix wouldn't do any wonders in UK or US.

True, although HMV branches in London are full of copies of The Remix (have you seen the cover by the way :o) It's £22 but I have to have it :w00t:

isn't the same one as Monster?

Agreed to an extent although I still like the second album a lot but it doesn't compare at all to the debut for me. I disagree that it's packed with filler too - the first 5 tracks are perfection, and then I love Go Go, Touch Me Touching You and Public Image. The other two tracks that I haven't mentioned are both very good too but I would have happily disposed of them in favour of Ocean Blue, Into The Jungle and The Hours from the debut album - if they'd mixed the two versions up a bit they could have had a pretty damn perfect album in my opinion

Ocean Blue

can't believe it didn't make the UK album

I don't know why Ocean Blue isn't on the UK album either :( I know why Into The Jungle isn't tho :heehee:

Nope:
