March 19, 201015 yr 12-1 will be a great vault to #1 considering how long it's been lingering about in the back end of the top 40! I know we've seen bigger jumps to #1 thanks to staggered/midweek download releases, but for an organic 7 day jump based on song growth alone, it's incredibly impressive.
March 19, 201015 yr The last track to stay longer at #1 more than 3 weeks was Lily Allen with the Fear (4 weeks in total), and that was practically a year ago. I reckon Kate Nash will be the next #1 I personally just think this is just an average song.
March 19, 201015 yr Yeah I remember all those posts, makes omrimayo look a bit silly now :P Telephone was always destined to hit the top spot I think - too great a track not to, and once the video became a masterpiece with all the hype surrounding its release, that really sealed the deal. I don't know, I love GaGa but it's so generic and anonymous by her standards. :( I do think the video is basically carrying it and that's why it was going nowhere before this excellent video was unleashed, although it still would have been a very comfortable top 10 at least with an ordinary video due to it being GaGa and Beyonce anyway. As for Kate Nash being #1... no.
March 19, 201015 yr Haha love the "the cow is catching the burger" comment ^_^ :heehee: *takes a bow* :heehee:
March 19, 201015 yr So where is Robbie williams in today's chart? Has he managed to scrape into the top40 yet? LOL I expect the single to climb further after his TV performance at the weekend, and the inclusion of the track on last nights program about the million dollar bike ride may have boosted sales too, but I don't expect too much. What a ridiculous choice of song to support Sport Relief. I have no idea how EMI managed to get that deal. I guess the organisers must have been desperate to get a major artist to contribute a song.

Not top 40 (yet). Expect he might come close to the top 40 by Sunday if his single shoots up after tonight's opening performance on the Sports Relief show.
March 19, 201015 yr Im not a huge Robbie Williams fan by any means but i wouldnt write him off yet, yes the single has flopped but the album has done quite well and the days of well established acts being guaranteed high chart positions is well gone, look at madonna;s last single revolver which was a huge flop but i wouldnt write madonna of on the back of that either. Neither artists are as popular as they used to be but considering the length of their careers they are doing ok.
March 19, 201015 yr The German's still love David Hasselhoff don't they? LOL Anyway, where Morning Sun today? BTW I do actually quite like that song and I'm amazed it has done so badly as it has to this point. RW must be gutted. I'll skip his performance though because he's just too cocky and arrogant.
March 19, 201015 yr I'm sure Robbie will be fine, but he could have done a hell of a lot better if he'd done a small tour of some description, has it been confirmed yet that he'll be doing a tour at the end of this year, to promote his greatest hits?
March 19, 201015 yr No, he's waiting for Take That to start touring again and he'll just share their stage time. :) Seriously though, I would expect him to appear with them on stage when they do tour again. He'll probably tour on his own later this year probably. It would be too late to leave it until next year wouldn't it?
March 19, 201015 yr Robbie would have a massive tour regardless when he tours, if this year or another . He just has to want it. Heisthe kind of artist who can have all the flops in the world and still sell in a minute a tour. As for him being friend with the TT, i don't believe a word. To be friend means something different in my dictionary than what he does and says. :puke2: If he does something with them is only for publicity he would get.
March 19, 201015 yr I reckon (or rather hope) that GaGa can catch Tinie by Sunday. Shame we don't know the sales gap for Tues/Wed/Thurs as now we don't know what rate she's been catching up
March 19, 201015 yr Hope Gaga gets #1.. looks like she will, fingers crossed :) Is Cheryl performing on Sport Relief tonight?? if she does Parachute may get higher than #8 by sunday.
March 19, 201015 yr Really hope Gaga gets number 1 this week but tbh, if Tinie pips Telephone to the post I won't be too worried as his sales will fall much more next weel and with no big releases on the cards for next week, Telephone will defo get it. Am going to download the single version too just now, just to help it :w00t:
