Kicks off with weekend special - Friday 26th & Saturday 27th March. Viewers will see thousands of hopefuls turning up at open auditions across the country in Friday night's show, in a bid to become the newest star of the West End. As the selection process continues, Saturday's show will showcase the final 20 'Dorothys' in a studio-based 'sing-off' – judged by the panel and Andrew, who will make a selection down to 10 girls. Viewers will also get to chose an 11th wildcard. The Barrowmanless Judging panel includes Sheila Hancock, John Partridge and Charlotte Church.
March 21, 201015 yr I'm not gonna watch this After all they gave us that common as muck Jodie Prentis
March 21, 201015 yr After all they gave us that common as muck Jodie Prentis You mean Jodie Prenger? And what's wrong with her?
March 21, 201015 yr Looking forward to this :D Reminds me that I really need to see Wicked, I can't believe I had the chance to go once, but wasn't allowed to :drama:
March 23, 201015 yr Reminds me that I really need to see Wicked, I can't believe I had the chance to go once, but wasn't allowed to :drama: You seriously need it, it's amazing
March 23, 201015 yr Looking forward to this, Friday's show its a bit of a stickler for me as its shown at the same time as Lost.
March 23, 201015 yr I will be watching. At least the judging panel is more credible and likeable than Britain's Got No Talent.
March 23, 201015 yr You seriously need it, it's amazing  I can't find anyone to go with :snif: most of my friends don't like the theatre and the ones who do have already seen it. I wish the school hadn't banned me from going.
March 24, 201015 yr I can't find anyone to go with :snif: most of my friends don't like the theatre and the ones who do have already seen it. I wish the school hadn't banned me from going. I'll go see it with you :kink: No, go by yourself then? It's totally worth it  And why has your school banned you from going to the theatre?
March 24, 201015 yr I'll go see it with you :kink: No, go by yourself then? It's totally worth it  And why has your school banned you from going to the theatre? LOL thanks for the offer :P I could, but I don't really like going to theatres/cinemas on my own, and also don't fancy doing all the travelling by myself either. And the Geography department banned me, because on the trip we went on before, to see the effects of erosion, we ended it in some castle. And at first everyone all climbed these bars onto the roof, which was out of bounds. After the janiter caught us everyone jumped back down. But some people carried on climing and ran up and down/sunbathing on the roof. Someone was going free running, loads people kept going in the restricted areas, another person kicked an old wooded staircase that broke and kicked a private door down, other people ran into someones private garage which had a boat in it. The school was banned from ever going there again (they had been doing the trip for the last five years) and the school was charged. Then in school people were asked to writed down the names of people they caught doing it, and my name was mentioned - even though I only went once at the start when everyone else did it (literally everyone even the person who said my name did it) so I was banned from seeing Wicked which I was really looking forward to seeing, and I was banned from going on a fieldtrip to Andover, which was essential for collecting research for my coursework :drama: My teacher hated me from then on, and kept saying how I was not going to pass this course. I got the research from my mate, did my courswork - got an A, did my exam and got an A. The look on her face when I told her was LOL. I can't stand that woman <_< Edited March 24, 201015 yr by Daniel Gleek
March 24, 201015 yr Oh dear   I know it is a pretty long story. Still I'm doing a weeks work at a publishing house, so I might use the money I make to go and see Wicked.
March 27, 201015 yr The first group are really geling, and there is something special about Sophie, she is beginning to be my favourite of the show
March 27, 201015 yr I can't believe the lack of comments on this. Without doubt 18 of the 20 singers were better than any female singer from the last series of X-Factor. Whilst at least 5 of them were (Lea Michele standard) fantastic. This could easily surpass I'd Do Anything as the greatest pool of talent in a TV talent contest. They made a mockery of the talent that got through to the Final 12 in X-Factor last year. But then again it helps that the judges here are real experts in the field of music and theatre. Whilst in that 90 minute programme alone Charlotte Church (who is a revelation as a judge) made more constructive comments than Cheryl Cole has managed in two entire series of the (e)X(crement) Factor! Well done to the BBC. Proof that a talent contest can be done properly when it is not turned into a money making ego driven media whoring vehicle resulting in cruel exploitation of the contestants.
March 27, 201015 yr Agreed that this is much superior and quite brilliant in its own right (though I don't know why you don't just stop watching X Factor TiP). My favourite didn't get through though! TEGAN. She was brilliant so I've voted and I'm hoping she gets through but I think it'll be the Robyn lookalike probably. As for the ones who did get through, very strong bunch (particularly the dark haired girl from Liverpool who auditioned with her cousin). The only one I'm not keen on is Sophie.
