Posted March 19, 201015 yr Carl Barat has said that he has finished work on his debut solo album. The singer/guitarist and former member of The Libertines and Dirty Pretty Things has not yet revealed a release date for the album, despite completing it. Describing the album as "in the can", he confirmed to BBC Newsbeat that piano featured heavily in the recording process. "It's a bit different," he said. "It's a bit older – like myself really. It's kind of naked, kind of stripped down. It's more piano-based." As well as working on his solo career, Barat has been starring alongside Sadie Frost in the play Fool For Love, at London's Riverside Studios venue.
