I love the way Will has gone about this whole US thing...he is just using his voice and his music to get him noticed and slowly it's working..he's not in any rush, there's no full blown perhaps to fail in your face promo for our bloke..oh no, he takes his time...as Bev Knight recently said of him when discussing his Festival strategy...'Oh He's a clever man' yes he is indeed.. :dance:

Will Young - Leave Right Now

 

This has been one of the surprise hits for 2010, not a day goes by that we do not get at least 2 or 3 requests for it! Personally I have always loved it!

 

Will Young won the inaugural British "Pop Idol" competition in 2002. Its worth looking at his initial audition on YouTube just to see Simon Cowell's deadpan comments that include...does this mean a lot to you...you're a good looking boy...you're through to the next round.

 

Worked out pretty good for Will: he's sold 8 million plus albums, done a bit of acting on TV and is the ambassador for a number of charities in the UK.

 

"Leave Right Now" was a bit of a hit song in the UK and really went under the radar everywhere else. Things changed when the songs chorus was used as the "departing song" in the most recent season of "American Idol".

 

All of a sudden this "new" song by this guy Will Young was discovered! Its a radio hit in the US and the phones at The Breeze started to ring...what is that song?...who sings it?

A couple of radio stations have added LRN in Vermont and LA ...but his plays are dropping off each week from some of the other stations.
