rain - saying with my cousins in the SE of England and the rain being warm - never was at home.
'Singing Together' A radio programme we listened to at school where we had pamphlets and had to join in with a women who sang in a really high pitched voice. That was our music lesson. Feeling old!!

Did it put you off singing for life?

 

Trains. I used to watch the trains going under a bridge near us. I grew out of it - my husband didn't.

Funnily enough it didn't Meg, it was a bit of light relief. I've still got an old pamphlet in the loft somewhere and I can still do a rousing chorus of 'Men of Harlech'

 

Uncomfortable school hats. A straw boater in summer and a brown velour 'pudding basin' in winter!!

Variety theatre - we were taken to our local one every week, the only theatre im the area.
Xtra special days.......birthdays and Christmas

Zoo. Going to visit Belle Vue Zoo in Manchester (no longer there) and having a ride on the back of a camel and an elephant. It certainly wouldn't be allowed now!
