Posted March 22, 201015 yr http://i48.tinypic.com/2dtzkly.jpg Welcome everyone to this week's Hot 40 based on sales, airplay and multichart data. Sorry last week's didn't get posted, Peter was away and I wasn't sure what was going on with it, but it's all sorted now :) Will of course post last week's chart on request. So without further ado, let's check out this week's chart: As ever songs with bullets that are climbing up the chart or have increased in points get an asterisk (*). Well Rihanna has held on to the top spot, thanks to fantastic airplay and multichart action. Unfortunately that means that Lady Gaga is stuck at number 2 this week despite topping both sales and multichart, as Telephone only scrapes top 10 on airplay. Cheryl is on the up-and-up with Parachute, becoming her third Hot 40 top 3 hit this week. Tinie Tempah climbs another three places on it's top 10 debut last week, and Black Eyed Peas go top 10 before doing the same on sales. Justin Bieber goes up eight places but nobody is putting Baby into the top 10, due to mediocre airplay and only slightly bettter multichart. Gaga's Bad Romance and Ke$ha's Blah x3 make random climbs back up the chart, and Inna gets the highest entry 10 places lower than her sales position, due to only just scraping top 50 on airplay, and being outside the top 20 on multichart (expect her to climb next week though). Gramophonedzie increases on points and gets a bullet, but hasn't moved from it's peak position last week. Outside the top 20, Robbie Williams is there or thereabouts with Morning Sun, despite not having broken top 40 on sales yet, though it surely will next week. Paloma Faith has a new peak with Upside Down at #24, again despite minimal sales. Diana Vickers' One isn't even out for sales yet, but is top 25 on airplay and top 10 on multichart. Goldfrapp and McLean also get new peaks at #26 and #27. Young Money's HORRENDOUS (IMHO) Bedrock has climbed 8 places into the top 30 this week as it has nearly made top 10 on sales, and has began to pick up on multichart, no airplay to speak of yet though, and Mumford And Sons The Cave nets them their third Hot 40 hit, despite being on the sales top 40 for the last four weeks. Scouting For Girls debut at #34 simply due to airplay, luckily Buzzjack has more taste :kink: And rounding off the top 40 is Kate Nash's Hot 40 debut hit Doo Wah Doo in at #39 due to major multichart action. Peter will be back next week with the chart. No, honestly, he will be :kink: Until then, please post any comments you have about the chart, make predictions for next week's chart, and have a good week!
March 22, 201015 yr nice chart Robbie Williams 'Morning Sun' yet to break sales Top 40 (#45 this wk), might be his first single to miss that chart Top 40? Goldfrapp 'Rocket' #26 here - should have a been a bigger sales hit imo (only #47) Kate Nash already there at #39 - that should do well don't we think? Edited March 22, 201015 yr by seanyboy
March 22, 201015 yr Author Thanks Tacticz :) nice chart Robbie Williams 'Morning Sun' yet to break sales Top 40 (#45 this wk), might be his first single to miss that chart Top 40? Goldfrapp 'Rocket' #26 here - should have a been a bigger sales hit imo (only #47) Kate Nash already there at #39 - that should do well don't we think? Thanks :) Personally I think Robbie will scrape top 40 on sales this week, probably end up at about #37. Agree about Goldfrapp but the album should do well this week. As for Kate, probably, but I personally hope not :puke2:
