June 25, 201015 yr I liked She Wolf too, but it was an album for the fans more than the general public. She should have had one ethno-pop stomper like this on the album to keep the GBP interested... I guess that is the pop mix talked about. It just makes it generic as hell, and takes out one of the best bits (Freshlyground's rap). I don't know how you can make a song that's partly in an African langauge sound generic, but they did it :( I don't understand why the fans wanted her to move from more interesting sounds to funk/urban-pop-lite sounds that any most singers could pull off (lead single aside). A prime example was Give It Up To Me, although that was only on the US version of the album I think. Not a bad song at all, and I did like it, but it just didn't feel like a Shakira song particularly. Agreed about that, it's watered down so much and not at all enjoyable :( Why must we be subjected to pop mixes here? Same with Taylor Swift, I much preferred the original US country versions of both Love Story and Teardrops On My Guitar.
June 26, 201015 yr I didnt buy the album as i didnt like did it again and i hated gypsy so it put me off buying the album she wolf the single was fantastic though.
June 27, 201015 yr Waka Waka at gasto was ace =] I'm realllllly liking this song now. I want her to come and promote the hel out of it in the UK... jonathan ross wouldn't go a miss? Maybe that KoKo show/ 5oclock show, GMTV and This morning? But then again she is rather busy and the song is selling enough everywhere else in the world to really care about here haha
June 29, 201015 yr I am delighted waka waka went top 30 and its looking like stayin there this ocming week aswell.

July 7, 201015 yr Waka waka is #25 again i this weeks midweeks so it looks like she will have another week top 30 with it.
July 9, 201015 yr Shame it didn't make the top ten here, my only conclusion for that is that her promotion in the UK wasn't cohesive enough? A little too all over the place? and there were already two huge football songs in the UK before she attempted to make Waka Waka big here too... Doe anybody know how this song has done in south america? Africa? etc
July 10, 201015 yr I wonder if her performance before the final of the World Cup could finally take it top 20 in the UK? I hope so...
July 10, 201015 yr I hope so too. It really deserved to do as well as it's done in almost every other European country. :(
July 10, 201015 yr Where the hell is it being shown in the UK!? It's on at 18:40 South Africa time, but it's not scheduled ANYWHERE in the UK TV timetables. I thought it'd be on BBC2, but athletics or something is on instead.
July 11, 201015 yr I doubt it will be shown in the UK. They didn't show her last performance at the World Cup Final.
