March 23, 201015 yr Oh I had another nomination  well.. didn't win that either :( Thanks for the tears thou
March 23, 201015 yr I would have thought Sangria should have won that, Nick did a hell of a lot better in 2009 than in 2008! Tbh I agree, Sangria had 7 DNQs in a row :o I only had 3 DNQs in the whole of 09 iirc. But still, thanks anyway :P
March 23, 201015 yr Who knows? so many pop countries have gone AWOL from BJSC recently and has had a knock on effect on the songs that are doing well now. I don't think many indie countries have left at all, only Rivandia I guess... Perhaps there is time to recruit some more countries/people?
March 23, 201015 yr Oh I had another nomination  well.. didn't win that either :( Thanks for the tears thou  lol I remember back then when u and the guy who have sent Kristinia but in the end got DSQ thought that Love Sux is going to win the contest :heehee:.
March 23, 201015 yr Looks like Dalisska didn't get anything, oh well :P It was still nice to get the nominations :) Although I really don't think FNT Nickdonia have been very unlucky in 2009.....ever since they entered Velvet I think it's been a turning point for them. *waits for Dalisska's turning point* XD
March 23, 201015 yr In the second of our awards sponsored the most popular site in FSR Rontvia in 2009, closely followed by Dancelovepop and TMBP, the random.org Award for Most Unlucky Entry of 2009 is awarded to the entry which suffered the most due to circumstances beyond its control. Oh indeed, Rontvian citizens can't get enough of Random.org. It has so many uses after all in daily life besides BJSC. Shopping lists (what 10 items should I buy this week out of the list of 50), lottery numbers etc...:kink:
March 23, 201015 yr Perhaps there is time to recruit some more countries/people? A new country registration thread is a WIP.
March 23, 201015 yr lol I remember back then when u and the guy who have sent Kristinia but in the end got DSQ thought that Love Sux is going to win the contest :heehee:. HEEEY.. the entry is really good AND it was Liam that gave me great odds :kink:
March 23, 201015 yr Author http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o45/sugababesrock/BJSCAwards2009/MeddleAward.png Ah, the Meddle Award for Most Underrated Entry of 2009. Dedicated to my very own entry to VIII, the Meddle award commemorates those entries which actually were fantastic, just not that many other people noticed. The general cure for this disease, justified hype, is very difficult to come across, and can kill in large quantities, but as examples show it can turn even an artist's most mediocre output into the perfect BJSC entry! cf. Meddle and Stuck On Repeat finishing outside the top ten, before Little Boots won the Sound of 2009 and then proceeded to finish top five with whatever the hell she got sent with. Before then going back to flopping with Dead Disco. Well, you can't put a price on brand recognition, right? The nominees are: Ashton XVII – Nevio; Gabriella Cilmi – Non Ti Aspettavo Espen XVIII - Kerli - Love Is Dead Herzebania XX : Millionaires – Take Your Shirt Off Kylienips XI - The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Higher Than The Stars Lievant XVIII – Neon Hitch – Black Sunshine Ojnoj XVIII - Solange Knowles - Cosmic Journey Ojnoj XXI - Noah & The Whale - The First Days of Spring Quotosibb XVIII - M$ney - Future Rivindia XVI - Slow Club - Christmas TV Skall XVII - Fever Ray - When I Grow Up Triodopolis XX - bim - The Battle And the winner is... Quotosibb XVIII - M$ney - Future! I well should've sent this in the first place, even if it did go floptacular once Aaron decided to send it after running out of ideas :drama:
March 23, 201015 yr Perhaps there is time to recruit some more countries/people? not a bad idea, but make sure that whoever applies have some kind of diplomas anti-cheapness.
March 23, 201015 yr Perhaps there is time to recruit some more countries/people? It's nothing desperate, 40 is a nice number for a contest in my opinion - 5 DNQ's per semi is a lot nicer than 12 after all Arguably though this will decrease the quality of entry in the final as songs get through by default due to lack of competition...
March 23, 201015 yr Author not a bad idea, but make sure that whoever applies have some kind of diplomas anti-cheapness. As Phil said, it's a work in progress :P

Yet Ashton still manage 3 on the bounce :manson: yes people we are still bitter
March 23, 201015 yr decent winner, I was probably to blame for the underrating, going from giving it a 10 in the semi to a 1 in the final :drama: it was my third favourite of the list nonethless though behind Nevio/Cilmi and Noah & The Whale
March 23, 201015 yr Didn't like future at all..... Love is dead, Black Sunshine and The Battle for me thanks
March 23, 201015 yr Author http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o45/sugababesrock/BJSCAwards2009/EvaAward.png SELF-FULFILLING PROPHECY ALERT. The Eva Simons Memorial Award for Most Overrated Entry of 2009, dedicated to that mash-up of everything popular in 2009, DJ Earworm - United States of Pop 2009 Eva Simons - Silly Boy, which as every schoolchild knows is the current holder of the highest points score ever in the BJSC with 268 points, as well as the highest points margin over 2nd place (88), is awarded to the entry which everybody just got a bit too overexcited about. Cue the apparently good, but not greats (SHAME ON YOU FOR THREE OF THESE THOUGH): Herzebania XIII - Agnes Carlsson – Release Me Kathaldazia XIX - Eva Simons - Silly Boy Mdiče XV - Royksopp/Robyn - The Girl and the Robot Numayania XIX - Alcazar - Stay The Night Numayania XX - Alphabeat - The Spell And the winner is... Kathaldazia XIX - Eva Simons - Silly Boy. Go on. Just try to pretend you were shocked.
