March 28, 201015 yr Comments on Top 10 & what I like of remainder: 1. Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive - I hate this song. Hilarious this female anthem was written by a man! 2. Village People - In The Navy - Another dreadful track. 3. Sex Pistols - Something Else/Friggin' In The Riggin' - No John Lydon = no Sex Pistols = dire. 4. Elvis Costello & The Attractions - Oliver's Army - A truly wonderful track from the pen of Liverpool's third greatest singer/songwriter. 5. Lene Lovich - Lucky Number - The Proto Marina Diamandis. A wonderful Stiff label track. 6. Chic - I Want Your Love - Rodgers & Edwards could do no wrong to my ears. 7. Real Thing - Can You Feel The Force - An OK track. Not a patch on the Liverpool's act's 1976 big hits. 8. Players Association - Turn The Music Up - More like hit the mute button. 9. Queen - Don't Stop Me Now - A classic Freddie penned track extolling the virtues of Cocaine use. 10. Gary's Gang - Keep On Dancin' - another unremarkable funk/soul/R&B/disco record. 11. Bee Gees - Tradegy 12. Thin Lizzy - Waiting For An Alibi 13. Skids - Into The Valley 15. Toto - Hold The Line 16. Squeeze - Cool For Cats - (Like XTC's Andy Partridge & Colin Moulding) Chris Difford & Glenn Tilbrook were two criminally underrated songwriters. iOaaAs-MMeo 17. Cars - Just What I Wanted 18.
