ya and i liked her river deep mountain high cover,but i think ballads are her strongest attraction

deff but the rocky songs make a nice change and a good addition to her repetoire.

yes and they give the albums a break with the ballads they help break the album more into chapters

also when you hear her sing you think she's written the songs herself but she's never written a song in her life. she just has the ability to make someone else's song her own. not many people can do that.

she sings them all from the heart,im surprised she has never tried writing songs as those who start out not writing usally try it with album tracks

also when you hear her sing you think she's written the songs herself but she's never written a song in her life. she just has the ability to make someone else's song her own. not many people can do that.

 

Actually....she HAS written songs before.. quite a few, but she never released them coz she's not confident enough. On numerous occasions she has said she wants to write her own songs in the future, but she would need a lot of time, patience & confidence, which she doesn't have at the moment. René also keeps telling her to do it and to expand her ability to play the piano (which she is able to!)..

 

She actually has input in all her songs and in most of them, she re-writes some words/sentences..but she never wants credit for it. The only ones she did get credit for were "Treat Her Like A Lady" & "Don't Save It All For Christmas Day". More recent, in 2000/2001, she wrote a song for her son-in-law's marriage..who has become a singer, Marc Dupré. And recently he re-wrote the lyrics to French (Celine wrote the English lyrics & music) and called it "Tout Pres Du Bonheur".

 

And there's more.. a few days ago, a new song was registered on BMI, "Over You Baby". And Celine is one of the co-writers of the song! Hopefully it will be released in the near future..B)
