Miley is doing well but I really don't think she'll open with anywhere near 300k. Although I hope she does, it was extremely unfair how Party in the USA never got to the top.

I agree.. The fact that Party in the usa which sold 255,000 copies in its first week didin't get number one will only make it harder for can't be tamed. Miley's performing I can't be tamed on dancing on stars tonight... if it's not number 1 by tonight i doubt it will reach number one next week. Just remember it's only 1.00 in America atm.. people may still be sleeping or may be in town etc.

It's Perry's best debut sales week for a single and will certainly garner her a top five debut on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart when it's released on Thursday (May 20) morning. If it debuts as forecasted, it will be Perry's fourth top 10 hit and highest debut on the sales/airplay-hybrid Billboard Hot 100 chart.

I can't be tamed is now number 1 on Itunes... Do you think she will debut at number one? I guess she's sold nearly 100,000 atm and with more television appearences im guessing 250-300 is on its way :)

LOL On Katy, I don't think she will be number 1... OMG sold 240K this week so the gap is only 54K and I think he has it on his airplay... that will be close I think and if not this week she will never get there with this song.

It depends how big her lead gets and how long it's maintained.

She did take longer than Katy to get to #1 so if Katy can't do it, it's unlikely Miley can. Hope it does and at least get another #1 digital B)

But tbh Next Week Miley Will have a better chance... i think she will get better sales !! She has much tommorow as does Katy.. I think next week Usher will drop to 3rd... i don't think Usher will sell anywhere near over 180,000 next week.

 

If Miley's going to be #1 next week, she needs to open up a huge lead over Usher ... and maintain it.
