Posted April 1, 201015 yr After horrific rumours for YEARS of what this album would be (reggae influenced and all that $h!t), we finally have some solid news on how it'll be, care of Popjustice. Originally set to be released in March, but pushed back (obv) to an unspecified date, appaza the lead single 'sounds like a cross between Scissor Sisters, 'Human'-esque Killers, Abba and a thousand exploding dancefloors...is perfectly structured, is perfectly produced and is the perfect Scissor Sisters comeback song.', and the album takes the band back to roughly the same territory of the first album (i.e. isn't $h!t like Ta-Dah was.) and is very electronic with no ballads ;o Read all about it HERE. Well, I'm ridiculously excited.
April 1, 201015 yr AMAZING. I've never been a fan of Scissor Sisters, I don't mind Laura and Take Ya Mama but everything else isn't for me. Still, they did write I Believe In You so I always have a glimmer of hope that I'll one day become a fan.
April 1, 201015 yr Their first album was OK, I LOVED 'Don't Feel Like Dancin' but Ta-Dah was pretty meh and I never listen to it. I hope for some good stuff.
April 1, 201015 yr So looking forward to this now, the lead single sounds amazing :o We shouldn't have too long to wait, because it sounds like the album is finished and is ready  Hopefully we get to hear the lead single very soon. If it's as amazing as PopJustice is making out, waiting to hear it tonight is too long a wait

If it's as amazing as PopJustice is making out, waiting to hear it tonight is too long a wait I learnt a long time ago to significantly lower my expectations prior to the first listen of anything Popjustice labels 'AMAZING.' :heehee: Having seen them label Sugababes' Girls this way, it's fair to say it was the biggest letdown for a long long time, and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, Anastacia's I Can Feel You leaked around the same time  :drama:

They've labeled this 'amazing' soberly, rather than 'AMAZING.' - I genuinely don't think he's taking the p*** with this :o

April 1, 201015 yr Having seen them label Sugababes' Girls this way Ah, yeah, "Girls" is very average. And at the moment, they are making a big fuss over "One Touch" by Mini Viva, and I don't get that. But I think they also hyped "Once" & "Bittersweet", and I love those two, and I really like Scissor Sisters, so we'll just wait and see
April 1, 201015 yr 'I Don't Feel Like Dancin' is excellent. Exactly what I consider pop music to be - a brilliant uplifting feel good song that appeals to a widespread audience. If someone like my dad can like the song (and he hates most modern music) then they must've done something right. It always goes down well at every family party we have. The best getting drunk song of the last decade. :D Going off the description from the Popjustice quote, I'm also interested but well prepared for a bump of disappointment. The Killers 'Human'? ABBA (well, some of their songs are excellent)? :D Sounds like debut album 'Scissor Sisters'? :D A thousand dancefloors? All in all, this could potentially be pop genius or indeed pop mediocre. Only time will tell... :o
April 1, 201015 yr Not a fan of It Can't Come Quickly Enough? :o Never heard of it. Didn't buy or ever listen to the albums.
April 1, 201015 yr Author Never heard of it. Didn't buy or ever listen to the albums. Spotify is a beautiful tool
April 1, 201015 yr Its hard to know how the scissor sisters will perform with the 3rd album with such a gap from their last album, i hope they can do a killer lead single again like the poptastic i dont feel like dancing.
April 1, 201015 yr I fooking HATED 'I Don't Feel Like Dancin' with an absolute passion, it was such unbearably irritating $h!te that just wouldn't go away. 'Kiss You Off' however was  and so underrated. :( Kind of liked the first album, though not as much as I did when it was first released. I'll await and see what they come up with, with an open mind.
April 2, 201015 yr the 1st album was definitly stronger than the first but i liked the 2nd album at the same time.
April 2, 201015 yr I can't wait for this :w00t: As a whole I liked the second album better than the first, but the single choices were better on the first. I can't believe I nearly got to see them live two years ago and had to sell the tickets. Babydaddy isn't getting away from me this time :kink: Oh and the comeback single is mine for BJSC thx

April 5, 201015 yr the 1st album was definitly stronger than the first but i liked the 2nd album at the same time. Are you sure that makes sense? :P Not if the banlist has anything to say about it :P I don't take part in BJSC, so can someone please explain why certain songs get banned? Is it because they are too big/well-known, or something else?
