Posted April 1, 201015 yr Overall im not a gambler but i always do the odd bet on eurovision and the grand national. Im thinking of doing a few each way bets and stuff so looking for your advice, this is what i have done and what i am thinking of doing, please let me know your opinions. What do you think will be the safe each way bets for the final? I wanna polace my bets now while the odds are good on paddy power.. I have put a bet in Ireland to qualify and i have put a €5 each way bet on ireland for the final. Im also thinking of the following €1 on Norway to win €2 each way on Azerbaijan €1 on Germany to win. €1 each way on Turkey. €2 in Armenia each way. Wht do you think of going for those?
April 1, 201015 yr They sound like good bets. I'm not sure whether to put money on anything - I still think it's Azerbaijan's to lose but their odds aren't worth betting on.
April 1, 201015 yr An each way bet on Romania at 66/1 would be very worthwhile I think. I can't believe people aren't picking up on its potential yet. It may not win but I simply can't visualise it finishing outside of the top 4! I'd just stick the 2 euro on Azerbaijan to win tbh. Basically with your each way bet if they came in the top 4 you'd win about 90 cents. Edited April 1, 201015 yr by Peter30
April 1, 201015 yr Author Thats what im thinking about Azerbaijan, they aint worth betting on unless you put big money on them and i dont have big money to spend, im using paddy power ireland have odds of 20/1 so i put €5 each way with potential winings if €135 and i also put €1 on Ireland to win which has potential winnings of €21, i also put a bet onNorway to win i put €1 on with odds of 10/1 which has the potential of winning €11
April 1, 201015 yr Yeah just make sure you do some calculations before putting bets on, so you don't end up putting money on something which would still result in a loss even if you won!
April 1, 201015 yr Look like good bets, but since I'm not a betting person, what does "each way" mean?
April 1, 201015 yr Luckily I got in there early with my Norway bet last year, i.e. as soon as it was possible to put money on them, so managed to win about £20 on a £2 bet or something iirc. I'm definitely not seeing a top four finish for Romania so won't be putting money on them, I'll be happy to eat my words if it does happen though!
April 1, 201015 yr Look like good bets, but since I'm not a betting person, what does "each way" mean? If you put £1 each way on something, it means you're putting £1 on them to win, and £1 on them to finish in the top four, for a quarter of the odds. So you're betting £2 altogether. If the odds are 12/1 and it came in the top 4 then you'd win £3. And if it won then you'd win £12 and also the £3 you'd win for it coming top 4. I hope that makes sense! Edited April 1, 201015 yr by Peter30
