I actually don't think Slowdown73 was trying to compare them in that sense.. Maybe just trying to say that JLS outsold Alexandra in albums (as this is an album thread).. so could continue to surprise people.. Anyway just because someone makes a statement like that doesn't mean they are still annoyed she won :S They are much better off not being on Simons record label.. Epic is a lot better for them.. & They are yet to release in Europe so we don't know if they would have chart success there or not

 I hate it when people say we shouldn't compare them.. yet do it anyway

what are you talking about i am a fan of both but its clear alex is a better singer

JB tweeted saying that they are at rehearsals for the new video so I'm guessing thats for the new single

& Big Top 40 tweeted about it today

We’ve just heard the BRAND NEW song from @JLSofficial ! No title yet but “the club is alive with the sound of music” Sure fire #Bigtop40 no1

I think we can officially say they have flopped with Everbody In Love in the US.

Has Everybody in Love been officially released I thought they were just doing promotion for it at the moment.

JLS have merly sold more albums than Alexandra and will continue to remain a British success.Alexandra has outsold them singles wise and has had chart success in Europe so keep dreaming.Try and move on Alexandra won well over a year ago because she was the best singer let it go.

Album sales is still where record labels make most of their money. Singles might pay for the video but unless you sell millions of copies of every single they bring in little profit for the label. JLS have "merely" outsold her 2 to 1 in albums with far less money invested. RedOne, Stargate, Ne-Yo, Rico Love couldn't have been cheap and I assume neither were features from Flo Rida, Ne-Yo, and Pitbull.

Her chart success outside of UK is mediocre at best. Bad Boys went Top 10 in maybe 3 or 4 relevant territories and the album bombed hard everywhere. More importantly JLS have established their identity where as Burke relies on featured artists to get by.

This is what we call a travelling TROLL-are you getting bored at Digital Soy or are they just sick and tired of you on the Leona forum.Even if Alex passed away tomorrow she would have enjoyed more success in her life than you ever will in yours.

In this case you are what we might call an oversensitive f(st)an. Besides I don't see how I'm "trolling" I'm not posting in her appreciation thread or her album or singles thread and have no desire to. Bye now.

I'm sorry, but if someone's trying to argue that post X-Factor Alexandra Burke has had more success than JLS then they really need their eyes testing. There is no comparison, at all.
Who cares about this Alexandra and JLS battle, Diana will come out on top overall haha!
^^ Haha now you are dreaming  . i have got thier 1st album and i have to say its rubbish, i hope this one is better

TBH I'm sick of the continuing battle between some JLS/Alex/Diana fans. God know what it will be like if Ruth becomes successful. But if I were to rank their debut efforts it would be Diana the Alex then JLS. :heehee:
^^ :kink:, i like JLS i think them and Alex have done a great job so far

Diana's first week single sales did not even pass two days worth of single sales for either Alex or JLS.Plus Once is already heading back down itunes so dream on.One Shot and Broken Heels will outsell it.

mm83 you are too old to be interested in teen popstars is it the only time you feel good about yourself trolling on pop forums. If anyone is feeling down if you want a good laugh go and check out mm83 on the Leona Lewis appreciation forum on DS, very funny.

It was released as a download and to radio in January. The song is done and has flopped. The shows they have being doing are irrelevant and Americans don't like them time to give it up.

You clearly don't understand how the US market works. When you are a new artist with low profile then unless you slap on a cheap rent-a-rapper on your track it takes months and a lot of hard work for a song to take off. At this point there is no way to tell if this will be a hit or not.

Oh please. I do know how the US market works and seeing as I do, I am aware that if a song goes for adds in January and 4 months later it has not even charted then it has flopped. The song has also been on iTunes since January and no one is interested in it. How can you sit there and say there is no way to determine if it will be a hit or not when you know fine well the adds date has passed and radio are not playing it.

The U.S market is tough to crack and they haven't really done high profile promo.. Taio Cruz and Jay Sean had an advantage with already well known artists on their songs.. They will be flying back and forth over the next few months to promote here and over there.. & doing big shows with Justin Bieber, Usher, Jason Derulo etc.. I actually think Everybody in Love could be a bit of a hype single & have a feeling they will be performing on X Factor in U.S with a 2nd single when that starts as they recently met up with Simon Cowell in LA.. I guess we will have to wait and see.. May not be performing very well on U.S iTunes at the moment but I wouldn't say they are flopping just yet.. & about the 2nd album.. They have also worked with Calvin Harris

Yeah they may get a slot on X Factor US.

You do realise X Factor US doesn't start until Fall 2011. So they are not going to release a second single until then?

The point is JLS fans are delusional and are now saying this was a hype track. They haven't got on high profile shows as no one is interested in having them on big shows.
