'Zombie' wasn't even huge at the time in the UK after the success The Cranberries had with 'Linger' in 1994.

Yeah but the Cranberries were better album sellers than single sellers much like the female-fronted alternative groups of the '90s. Hello, Garbage, Skunk Anansie, Elastica...
