House hunting with son and future daughter-in-law and week 3 of the plumber does not make for a stress free life!! Sue

Nice to be included though. I love the house hunting bit. We're still waiting for our builder - it's gone back another 3 weeks. I'll be amazed if we get it started this year at this rate.
A stress-free life is a myth
Hosepipe ban is over! The thing is everything in the garden is so wet, that nobody needs to use a hosepipe now. Sue

Dave's just mown the lawn for the first time this year. It didn't need it as it was all brown until a few days ago. I've just bought 100 muffins and scones for Saturday - I'll probably buy some more before then. Then I bet it rains and I'll have to freeze them all and eat some every day. What a hardship
Hope all goes well tomorrow Meg. Forecast is for rain so you may well be eating muffins for weeks.

A marquee ? ( filled to bursting with muffins and scones )

Good job P is coming to help.

We are mulling what to do this afternoon as it is drizzling and really foggy. Trouble with this weather is daughter likes the shops. Seem tn have spent loads in looe this morning.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring? Take it as it comes - we always manage. If it rains, most wont come to a garden party anyway. Muffins, scones and cakes, all freeze well.

So how did the party go? Hope the sun shone or you'll be living on muffins and scones for the next week or two.

But then, no hardship with the chocolate ones !

Weather was fine. I think we're both exhausted. It went really well though. Last people went at 9pm and I've put Mum straight to bed as she was very, very tired.
Glad it all went well Meg. Did they leave any muffins?
