Oh Sue...I hope your daughter's job is ok.

Good thing about surveys they can save you from a disaster, will he look for another or offer a lower price and repair?

We got this house because there was so much wrong with it - if you get a price that reflects that and the extra effort it'll take then it can be well worth it. We'd never have been able to afford one like this that was well maintained.

I hope your daughter keeps her job, it's worrying while she waits to hear.

At the moment they are trying to get estimates on everything that needs doing, and then they will try to negotiate on the price.

In Paula's department (educational physiologists), it looks like they will all have to re-apply for the remaining positions, but that won't happen until next January probably, so it's going to be a worry for some time. Sue

How ridiculous, educational physiologists are so few and far between, we are desperate for them in this area they are so over worked with 2 year waiting lists!!
This is typical of local authorities. Ours has to save £25 million this year so cuts are inevitable and jobs at risk.
In our area, Bolton, they are reducing the educational physiologists from 10 down to 4!!! Sue
The rain was so heavy this morning that we were given a severe weather warning. It just poured down until mid afternoon. :( Sue

We had really heavy rain and high winds all night and all this morning. Then the sun came ou, dried everything up and it all looks as though it never happened

The builders are going to start next Monday. We've only been waiting 7 months.
I'll believe it when it happens. Cynical, aren't I?

No just speaking from experience! Sue

I am hopeful though. When David's space is built, I'm just so hopeful that things will go from the house and I'll actually be able to walk through with ease.

What's crept onto the next page? A nice new building for David? I'd wondered where that had gone

She can't. Mine is home watching my Mum while I take Pam to the airport. Then he's going to visit his sister in Spain.
