Do check the value of things before you part with them, Meg. The nost unlikely things fetch a lot of money nowadays.

Hope D is training for June.....a lovefest won't help him to run.

He looked in good condition in the last pics. He'll bring in the money if he lets people know he's doing it

Last 3 nights we've had to keep the windows closed even though it's hot. I don't think we've ever had such a problem with cockchaffers . All sizes from medium ones like the one I photographed sitting on my hand to some half as big again. They seem desperate to get into the house but if you leave them in, they make quite a bang when they collide with you while your trying to sleep

None tonight - it's not very warm here. I may even have to close some windows

My kitten's mum left them to come to be stroked so after giving her some attention I was able to hold her babies.

They are lovely.

Mum's patio is being started tomorrow. In a few weeks, she'll be able to sit in the back garden again. It's being brought up to the height of the door cill, so we'll be able to get her onto it

No idea - it'll probably rain and take months - as long as it's done for the good weather. The wood is arriving today and the work (as long as it's not raining) is supposed to start on Monday. Mum can't wait. Maybe she'll just sit and enjoy the sunshine rather than do anything stupid.

Our dog roses are a huge mass of pink. They'd normally be beautiful for the next 6 or 7 weeks. Our builder has just told me that they'll all have to go. At least we'll have them for the weekend

Good news about the patio Meg, but sad that the dog roses have to go. There's always 'swings and roundabouts' in these things. At least you know how much pleasure your mum will get from it when it's finished.

The kittens are so sweet Pam. Have you decided which one to have? Sue
