When I forgot to put it up and was given a fine I wrote and explained that I forgot because I was rushing to buy flowers for a

sick friend before the shops closed. (Quite genuine) They cancelled the fine.

It seems to depend on where yo live. It's like the support for the ill or elderly. It doesn't really exist here but where Mum lived it was absolutely fantastic.

I hadn't got an excuse, I just had a 'senior moment' and forgot. Mind you, it wasn't just me, husband didn't remember either. Sue

That's Ok - it's got really hot here now. I'll be back in a T shirt for the afternoon.
Hoe is your Mum now, Meg. Has the accident made her dubious about riding in the chair?

It's just beginning to brighten up here. Rained overnight, and has been overcast and miserable all day.

On a more cheerful note, our resident blue tit has started to lay her eggs in our nesting box, the one that has the camera fitted. There are 2 so far. It's a really untidy nest this year, stuffed full of feathers and very lopsided. I don't know if it's a young bird, but it reminds me of an untidy teenage bedroom! Sue

How lovely being able to see that.

Bramley - Mum doesn't seem as nervous about her wheelchair as I am. Dave says it shouldn't happen again now he's seen to the wheels.

Sue, That must be wonderful to watch.

Sue, I'm very jealous! We put up 3 nestboxes weeks ago, and the tits haven't been near them. Plenty of other birds

nesting, but no tits. Extremely ungrateful when they've been fed all winter !!

Yes, it's lovely to watch, especially when they start hatching, much better than television! She laid another egg this morning. Last year, if I remember correctly, there were nine eggs in all, seven of them hatched and they all survived, so that mum did a good job. Sue
we have so many type of birds use our table and the garden - yet they avoid our nest boxes like the plague!! they prefer the hedges - oh well.

I don't put up nest boxes but keep lots of hedge and shrub cover for them to use.
The two squabs of one of our collared doves are bigger than their Mum, but still being fed on pigeon milk.
