Congratulate Hayley for me, Nina. Warwick is a great uni, one of the Russells, and I'm sure she

will be very happy there and make lots of new friends. Hope her cooking is up to scratch!!!

Another two grandchildren are in the midst of writing Personal Statements and choosing their five unis.

 

Hope the wedding went well, Sue,.....I was thinking of you on the day.

 

Have I missed any important news......D performng, family on the way, etc ???

 

Am thinking of buying a new PC in the near future, so will be joining you all again then.

Went to see Dirty Dancing in Manchester yesterday, but I was a bit disappointed. Has anyone else seen it? Sue

I would if Darius was in it.

So would I. The people I know who saw it gave poor reports so I didn't bother

 

I thought it was just me. The company just wasn't big enough to give a true interpretation of the dance scenes and although they used a background, for me, it just didn't work. Also I thought they would dance down the aisles in the last scenes, but they didn't. Although the main dancers were excellent it just fell flat somehow. Sue

That's the feeling the people I know who saw it in London had. I loved the film and didn't want to spoil it

 

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope that the disappointments and heartache that some are bringing to this year end as well as they can and remembrances of happier time in the past and potentially in the future can turn life around.
