April 28, 201015 yr Author It's a shame you didn't enjoy it. Sometimes I think they just don't want people with disabilities as they make it so hard to get anywhere. I hate seeing someone leap out of a car parked in a disabled spot and then rush off while I can't find anywhere to park that is near enough for my Mum to get to where we want to be.
April 28, 201015 yr Peter Kay's own report didn't mention the hold-ups !!! http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/news/a...r-kay-tour.html A shame you didn't enjoy it after looking forward to it for so long, Sue.
April 29, 201015 yr There was a big picture and write up in the local paper giving a glowing account! Sue
April 30, 201015 yr Had a great day....took my friend to Warrington to the M&S near Ikea. You just have to go into Ikea especially when my friend had never been before. Well £70+ later....and that was me!!! You know the food at the restaurant is really cheap.... Only got a quick look at M&S but we bought the items we went for. Next time we're going for longer!! I'll make arrangements for the dogs :)
April 30, 201015 yr Glad you had a good day, even though it was expensive! And you can always return things from both Ikea and M&S if you need to. Been a miserable day here, raining on and off, some quite heavy. At least it will do the garden good.
April 30, 201015 yr I've had a couple of phone calls in the last two weeks, some new kind of scam. The speaker said there was a fault on my computer, and that a Microsoft engineer wanted to have access to it to put it right. Totally absurd, but thought I would mention it as other people may be targeted, When I asked them in whose name the computer was registered, they made a wild (and wrong) guess. Just thought I would put people on their guard.
April 30, 201015 yr Author I annoy tele callers by refusing to give any info. How do you know who you're talking to.
May 4, 201015 yr Yet another call ! They don't give up easily ! I blew my top at them this time so shouldn't hear again.
May 4, 201015 yr Author The best one I had was at my mum's. They weren't selling anything!!!! but would she like a new kitchen. I said "Yes, please, as she has no money at all, she'd love a new kitchen" They couldn't get of the 'phone quick enough.
May 4, 201015 yr They have just rung again. Told them I'm going to the police. Have just looked out a loud whistle..........will blow it into the phone next time. Any other ideas, anyone? Have found this link if it gets worse. http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/...V9q/c/345%2C351 Edited May 4, 201015 yr by Bramley
May 4, 201015 yr Author I don't think you've managed to convince them yet, Bramley. Just put the phone down on them.
May 4, 201015 yr I get a lot of these calls, I never agree to anything on line, never give any info, and if they say its the bank, Virgin(about a bill LOL) I never call back on the number they give, I call the number on the official statements and that way you cant be given a false number to call. I get so many sales calls from these telesales based abroad - they all start with someone asking how you are. most of the time I just say I cant understand a word they are saying and hang up
May 4, 201015 yr We get loads of these type of calls, usually in the evening. The whistle is a good idea. The scam you are referring to Bramley was discussed on a television programme a while back, think it might have been This Morning, when they were doing a piece about hoax calls. Sue
May 9, 201015 yr Author Does anyone else think that Clegg looks like a younger version of Cameron? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v614/megham/cameronandclegg.jpg
